Default S.U. Spiral Punch

Is there a way to make use of this punch to create a little book without making a purchase of a binding machine? I was hoping to create and decorate a booklet to keep track of my daughter's swim scores at her meets. (and if it came out well enough, to make more to share with other parents). Does anyone have a suggestion as to how this can be done without making a significant investment? (I have some of the 5x5 art journals, but feel that they're bigger than I need). Thanks for sharing whatever ideas you may have! ~ LCM

Just buy a small note book pad (spiral kind) & make a cover for it with DP using your spiral punch, & glue to the front cover.

Other than buying an already-bound notebook, I can't think of any way to bind one made from scratch, no. :( Do keep in mind that not all pre-bound notebooks match the spacing of the SU spiral punch -- you might want to punch a sample on a scrap of cardstock and take it along with you on your shopping expedition. Ask me how I know this....

Wink

You can also buy the binder rings (at Wal-Mart for .97 a pk) cut paper to whatever size you want, use a crop a dile to punch wholes for rings, use DP & embelishments (like a swimmer stamp or sticker) for cover if you want it a little fancy & your good to go. Thats another idea for you.

You could buy some really cute spiral notebooks in the dollar section at Michael's. THey have all different shapes and sizes. LIke the above poster said, though, keep in mind the distance between spirals..you could decorate the covers, OR tear out all the pages, and make new heavier cardstock pages to insert b/t the covers...JMO..Keri
