Rock a Block
 

Has anybody purchased the Rock a Block for Acrylic Stamps? Where did you get it and how do you like it? I am debating but curious to know what others think

I've been looking at these as well and would like to know others opinions on it.

I saw them demo'd at the Heirloom convention in October. People who use them seem to love them. I haven't tried them personally though. I know PaperTreyInk is selling them.

I bought them and I truly don't reach for them much. I think there's a little bit of a learning curve on them because you have to "roll" the block down onto the paper. I'm happiest with my regular clear blocks. But that might just be me!

I bought them from Papertrey Ink. I've used them once, and probably won't use them again. They're too light-weight for me. And, as posted by Amyz2298, I'm not good with a learning curve. If it doesn't work like I thought it would, I usually just toss it aside. The only exception to that for me has been my Copics. Those took some learning, but the process was worth the wait. Hope this helps.

I have a brand new set for sale if anyone is interested. I'm not stamping as much as I used to.

I love the rock a blocks. You can see exactly where you want to stamp. I place the top of the block down first then roll it towards me. HSN.com has a video on them. Check it out.

I'd love to try them out. I can't afford to buy them right now, but if anyone wants to trade theirs, pm me! :D

I got mine at PTI and I LOVE them! Maybe because I've been using wood mounted stamps for so long I had a tendency to press too hard on the clear stamps and my images always came out distorted or part of the image wouldn't show at all. Since I've been using these my clear stamp images are much, much better. You rock the image from top to bottom (or bottom to top) not side to side. I suppose it's all just what you're used to using but for me they're great!

PTI sells them now. Everyone was raving about them, but then I read what some of the girls said after getting them. And the reviews were mixed. So I've decided not to spend the $$. You might be able to find the thread on the PTI forum if you search for rock a block.

I have them and I like them. I don't love them. I tend to get ink on the edges. I do think they work better for UM rubber on foam than they do with acrylics.

I bought them too and only used them a couple of times ... keep getting ink on the rocker-edges which is frustrating ... a lot of fuss over nothing IMO.

Archivers sells the blocks, but not the adhesive they say you have to use. I looked at them, but thought they would be kind of a pain, especially since you have to use this adhesive on them. It's my understanding that you can't just cling your stamps on the blocks. Love my blocks and fiskars stamp presses.

I'm with you on this one. I bought them too but don't use them. I tried them once but wasn't overly impressed. Maybe I'm not doing it right.

Love love love the rock a blocks. Picked them up last week when my LSS was closing. I have a CTMH set that I adore but cannot get a nice clean image. First stamp I tried with the new blocks and image was perfect. Tried it with my Bella's too. The only thing I noticed was that I had to use a baby wipe to wipe the ink off of the edge of the block before stamping. That is a pain but I love the fact that I was able to get a clean image with a very detailed stamp that I struggled with before. hth
