Question Question: Uninked Cartrifges for Stampin' Around wheels

Has anyone tried using the VersaMark refill on the uninked cartridges?

Inking the wheels with the VersaMark pad is such a pain. I'm looking for an easier way, but I'm not sure if using one of the uninked cartridges is going to gum everything up.

Any thoughts????

TIA!

I have done this. It doesn't gum anything up, but the VersaMark ink is very thick so it takes a bit to soak into the wheel. It also dries out more quickly - if you do this keep the cartridge in a ziplock.

Thanks for the tip. I will definately try that. It sounds like you go through the VersaMark refill pretty quick doing this!

yes, you go through a lot more versamark this way. I also have the cartridge and reinker that they sell in the catalog, the clear embossing cartridge and ink refill set. I find that the wheel stays more moist then the one I did with versamark, but both still need reinking, the versamark more then the clear embossing one in the catalog.

Unfortunately I don't think the clear embossing cartridge will give me the watermark look I want. But I will definately keep that in mind for when I want to emboss! I could save the VersaMark refill for only when I need it.

Thanks for your help!

Customer Question: can we only use the embossing ink cartridge with the standard wheel? or is there a jumbo option?

TIA!
