Default Rhinestones?

Where are y'all getting the little rhinestones you're using? There are 3 on today's card here

What are the called? How are they packaged? I've seen the "bling" in the stores, but they are packaged in a circle, or square, or some kind of design. When I look at those packages, it appears as if you are supposed to lift the whole thing and use it as one large sticker (so it will appear as if there are sparklies all around the image) KWIM??

Look in the craft area, usually near the beads, and most stores have the rhinestones in bags. I know what you are talking about, but these are different. They are sold in various sizes, colors, and quantities. HTH and Happy Stampin'!

I use these that are stickers and I have also used the ones that you can find in the bead section and I use glue to adhere them. I buy mine (both kinds) at michaels

The ones I use are by Kaiser. They come in a circle graduating from large to small. All self adhesive.

I bought Amuse twinkle stickers from www.ellenhutson.com and I like those a lot. I also buy the flat back Swarovski crystals in the beading section at HL, and I use Crystal Effects to affix them. They are really sparkly!

I buy mine normally at Archivers. They are pretty reasonalbe, and the pack has a good many. I have seen them at Michaels, but they are usually in a mix pack. I am sure you could find some online.

Default rhinestones

I've gotten them at Walmart in the craft section. They are not self-adhesive, so you have to be a little careful when you glue them, but they are C-H-E-A-P! They are in the centers of the flowers on this card: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=84268

I won't use anything except self=stick...I hate messing with glue. So, I've used cell phone bling which is the best cause the adhesive really sticks. I've purchased it at Walmart in their crafting section. It comes on a little blue card with a color and a silvery one, about 150 of each color. I have yet to find black and might have to resort to eBay for that. here is a card using it.

I've also purchased 400 on a card, again self-adhesived, for $3.49 from Big Lots (cell phone bling) in their electronics department. Here is a card using this type

I've also purchased at Michael's, just recently, some large stones which are gorgeous for only $1. Here is a card using this one, it doesn't look shiny in the picture but it really is nice in person...

I love to add a little shine!!! and with the self-adhesived ones, it is so easy and no drying time!

Michael's has a lot of their beading section stuff on Clearance, including multi colored packages of these bling in various sizes and shapes. I have bought 12 to 15 packages recently, and if I never buy another package again, I will have enough to last several lifetimes!! They also have their metallic threads spools (beading section ones) on Clearance for $1. The Clearance also included things that look like the rhinestone brads, but are the 4-pronged things (I don't know what they're called).
I had a lot of fun today.

I get mine from Future Shop in the cell phone section. They are called Bling. You get 300 self adhesive rhinestones in either blue&white, pink&white, red&white or purple&white and they are only 99 cents!! My demo told me about them. I now have a lifetime supply

Here are a couple of cards I made using them :

I get my bling at WalMart. In this store the packages of bling are on the turn rack that holds buttons. The packages are all clear round, mixed round, mixed dragonflies, mixed pastel geometric shapes (triangles, squares etc.) I use glue dots to adhere to cards. I've also used the cell phone bling which comes w/adhesive on it, surprisingly easy to work with.

You just pull open the pointed part, pull the arms apart and pry off the little hooks underneath. Its pretty easy, if you look at the bottom of them you will see.

Default self adhesive bling

I bought some at HL. I never thought I would like them, as I don't like a lot of frou frou stuff, but it adds just the right touch sometimes. I found some clear ones after Christmas at HL in the 75% section of holiday decorations. They were packages of rhinestone words like Holiday and Christmas. I figured I would just cut them up and use them one at a time, like the cell phone bling packs. I surely wouldn't fool with glue though, what a mess that would be! I have big ol' fumbly fingers and I can see me making a mess of that!

FYI, Darice has 5mm self stick acrylic rhinestones in black. I just bought some from Joann. I think there are 200 in the pack for ~$3 - $4. There are located in the jewelry / beading section

I really like the SU rhinestone brads.

I've also bought some at the LSS or at Michael's.

Hero Arts, Queen & Co. and others make gemstones in rounds and different shapes. Hero Arts has assorted colors and packages with one color only.

wow! Thanks y'all! I didn't realize you were getting them in the beading section. I never checked there before.
I have seen the cell phone bling in the Dollar Tree, but it was only silver and hot pink.

Sale at Michael's is duly noted, and I'll be making a pit stop in there after work this week. Thanks for the help gals!!

Well they are not cheap but my favorite are the Swarovski Crystals. Found in the beading section. The ones I have in front of me were $3.99 for 20-30 pieces depending on the size of the crystal. They are beauitful! AND you can get them on sale most of the time!

ETA: I use CE to attach them

I'm a huge fan of the bling and buy them in the beading section. I look for the glass kind vs plastic...they just sparkle more I use my Sakura Quickie Glue pen to adhere them to my card/project {paper based} or CE {any other media}.

I get mine at Joanne Fabric. They have a stand in the scrapbook section with dollar items. I get rhinestones there and brad tops (they have adhesive underneath instead of the prongs) Peggy
