Re: SU's future catalogs - any chance they will...
...go back to including product lists/"recipes" under the card samples? I have found the absence of this info incredibly frustrating, to the point where I don't reach for the catalog for inspiration as much as I used to. Of course I flip through for ideas, but inevitably I'll see something I want to duplicate or even BUY but have to jump through hoops to find out what product was used. I would certainly be more likely to buy something on the spot based on a sample if I know what products were used.
So... does anyone have the scoop on this? Is this a premanent change or do you think they'll go back to the previous format?
Nothing's been said, as far as I know. I'm sure it's too late to have any impact on this next catalog, but do consider sending an email to [email protected] to express your thoughts. They do welcome customer input...
For some reason it is not working tonight. There might be a website issue, so try tomorrow. The document is 22 pages long with graphics so will take a bit to load. Many, many of the demonstrators have asked for this to be put back in the catalog. No word yet on if they will. New catalogs come out July 1.
I think it is in their own best interest really - it is too easy to lose extra pages printed out from the internet - if one really likes a project in the catty then they can flip to the back of the book and see the supplies used and include them on their order.
Actually, I'd like to see it return as well. I didn't think it mattered to me but, there is something nice about just flipping to the back. Maybe because we're use to it that way. Fingers crossed.

We were told it was to help cut down on the expense of printing the catalog and to allow more "product" to be in the catalog as a result. Trust me, they heard from many, many demonstrators over this. Many of us have our fingers crossed that it will be part of the new catalog.
