Can Versamark be used to adhere glitter?
If so, does it need to be heat set, or just air dry?
Cant stand the glitter glue and am looking for a substitute.

That's what I was going to suggest. I tried using glitter with versamark, initially it looks like it works, but the minute you touch it it comes off. SU has a embossing powder, iradescent ice, it is very glittery, I use it all the time.
I like that glue pen called Quickie glue for adhering a thin line of glitter around stamped images or letters...it is made by sakura.
I think there might be a post around here about using this pen with embossing powder also but i have long lost the link...sorry...and have not gotten a chance to expiriment with it in this manner
I have recently started to use the heat and stick powder....I bought some from SU and then found some made by Judi Kins called sticky stuff embossing powder and it works great, too. (Had to try for the price!) Anyway, use versamark and apply the heat and stick powder. Heat it until it shines (DO NOT OVERHEAT....I did this at first and thought it was junk and really it was just me doing it wrong). After it gets a glossy shine, pour on your glitter and tap off excess glitter. It should stick very nicely. Then heat it again for a FEW SECONDS. You will actually see the glitter turn if you do not take your eyes off of it. This will set the glitter into the heat and stick powder. (and it really only takes a few seconds for this part). Once done you can run your finger across it and the glitter lays kind of flat, does not come off at all and sparkles like crazy!! I love this stuff and it is not as hard as I originally thought it was. (I actually started to buy all the embossing glitters but decided I had to do something with all of the glitter I already had and discovered this heat & stick powder is very much the answer!!)
Ugh. So far I haven't found a good glue pad - they never seem to hold glitter. Powders (mica powders & chalk) work like a dream - glitter has been a disaster.
I know lots of people love their Heat & Stick powder, but I couldn't stand it. I had problems overheating it (= no stick) or just overheating patches (= something that looked like mange) until I gave up.
Totally disgusts me that I've been defeated by a powder! ;)

I don't like the glue pads at all....tried them. too.
And I do know what you mean about being defeated by the heat & stick powder. I thought that, too, but tried it again and just heated it until it got a little gloss to it and it was fine. (I previously heated it like I do my embossing powder and then it was junk for the glitter). With heat and stick powder....less is better... Try again...you will love it once you get the hang of it.
I haven't bought a glue pad, but my mother erecntly did and she really didn't like it.
I love the H&S powder, but it takes a couple of practise runs just to get used to how the product works, since it is slightly different from embossing powders. once you do though, you will get beautiful detailed effects with fine glitter.

I'll just add my two cents...MS has a "fine tip glue pin" that is wider than the quickie Sakura pen, but narrower than the SU two-way glue pen. I love this particular pen to run around the inside border of a 1/4" mat and sprinkle with glitter. It makes a nice even line and makes the mat pop. Just in case someone wants to try it.
