Default ?Q About Gold Cord in Winter Mini?

For anyone who has seen this in person. . .

It is hard to see in the mini online even when you zoom in close. They call it elastic cord, so does it stretch? Or is it like the old stuff which was a gold cord, but non-elastic? Enquiring minds would like to know! Also, would you describe it as a bright gold, yellowish gold or burnished gold?

Thank you so much!

It does have an elastic core, so it stretches. I like that, since it'll make it easier to make knots and bows that actually STAY, lol. It does seem to be a bit thinner than the old stuff, but I couldn't swear to it until I have some in my hot little hands...
