I read all the comments in the forum on 'does embossing powder go bad?' but I don't think my problem fits there. I like to use an emboss resist technique but I'm finding that my embossed image DOESN'T resist...it has absorbed ink and can't be polished off. My Versamark is new but my powder isn't particularly. It feels like something else...what?
You could try ironing it off, with paper between the iron and the panel, and see if the ink seeped all the way through the powder. Some people do that anyway to get rid of the different textures.
I was going to say what Vic said - overheating causes the ep to absorb into the paper, so there's no "barrier" to keep the ink from absorbing, as well...
