Yes I had this problem also. I found that it didn't ink worth a darn. So I have bought a re inker and that seems to have solved the problem. Good luck with yours.
I bought that exact same pad last year. When I opened it (shortly after buying it) it was VERY dry. I tried to stamp Big Blossom on Pretty in Pink cardstock with it and you couldn't even see it! Needless to say, I won't be buying any more craft pads from SU... and I returned that one!
If you purchased it recently, contact your demonstrator to see what can be done. In the meantime, you can take the back of a spoon and "smush" the ink around to mix it up. The colored craft pads don't seem to have this problem that I know of.
I have this exact same problem. I tried using my vanilla craft ink pad a few weeks ago and it's so dry and I bought it new and have never used it. I can't send it back because it's been too long since I bought it. I'll have to see about getting a reinker for it now.
I had this same problem last summer when I tried to use my vanilla craft pad, and it was too long since I bought it to return it, although my sweet demo offered to absorb the cost and order me a new one -- couldn't let her. She did some research, and suggested putting my hand in a plastic baggie and "massaging" the ink pad to reblend the ink with the glycerin in which it's suspended. Seemed to work! Why does this never happen with my white craft pad?

I am glad that I am not the only that has this problem, I have been close to just throwing mine away, but now I will try to "massage" it and see if that helps. I wonder too why it hasn't happened to any of my other craft pads???
Thanks for the advice ladies. I will try the smushing idea tomorrow and report back if it works. My demo wants to give me her unused pad, but I suspect it will have the same problem. It seems to have a lot of ink, just that the ink has separated.
I just found this thread while searching about this very problem - only mine is with soft subtles craft spots that I just bought. They're not dried out, it just seems like they don't have enough pigment in them!! Only on the lighter colors though - like barely banana, pretty in pink, apricot, etc. the darker colors seem to have more pigment. The lighter colors are just oily or watery!
I'm going to contact my demo and see if I can exchange them.
glad to find this thread! (not glad about the ink problem tho!)
I didn't pay attention to where you are from, but is it possible that the ink pad froze during shipping? I'm in Canada and I've noticed that freezing is not good for craft pads.... I try to order my craft pads when it is not freezing outside, otherwise they often freeze in the UPS truck.
