Default Textured Linen card stock

I love the simple cards that Biggan makes and her use of textured linen white card stock.

Where's a good place to buy that?

Hi Marge! Have you tried looking at Bazzill cardstock?

Here's a link: Monochromatic Cardstock | Bazzill Basics Paper

You should be able to find Bazzill at an LSS.

SU also sells some textured cardstock, but browsing through the IB&C, it looks like all of it is the Core'dinations stuff that you can choose to sand to reveal the lighter core underneath the color. Maybe an SU demo will see this and chime in to confirm that.

I have a pack of the Core'dinations in Real Red and IMO it isn't as pronounced a texture as the Bazzill cardstock.

I was really looking just for white. Was hoping to buy online because of convenience. But yes, Bazzill is an option!

I've gotten some from Marco Paper. They have all different kinds of cardstock & linen textured is one of them. It's really beautiful.

I totally agree on your thoughts of 'Biggan's' card stock. It truly sets her cards above others in finished looks. Would love to know the brand and get some myself.

OK so I sent Biggan a PM and asked where she gets her paper. Since she lives in Sweden her source is in Europe. Oh well. :-) I'll try Marcos Papers -- thanks everybody!!

I'm not sure about cardstock but...I found that you can use acrylic paper (paper that you'd use for painting with acrylic paints) to stamp on and it gives it a canvas like look. I used some Strathmore acrylic paper that I got at Michaels (bought it on sale when they had % off their art supplies) on this card. I guess I stamped it with memento and colored it with copics. You might have to play around with it to get the results you want. It's textured on one side and smooth on the other. What do ya think?

Oh that is lovely Polly. That's another possibility.

Would you please post a picture of the texture?? The picture on Marco's site is too small to show the detail of the weave.

I have been using the acrylic paper from Ms; and, I like the heavy canvas look it gives to certain cards....... I also have been using Neenah Linen for my cards, in cream and white.
