Default Prismacolor vs. Copic Markers...

What's the difference, other than the price? I'm leaning towards the Prismacolor Premier Double Ended Art Markers, simply because I have 120 of their pencils, which I love. I don't want to be a Copic snob, but I know how fads come and go on this web site. Next week, someone else will come along with something else I just HAVE to have. But really, does anyone know the difference? If so, please explain it to me. I've researched on my own on the net, but I'm having one of those days were my mind has been fuddled by the reality of work! TIA!!;)

I have both. I would go with the Prismas....cheaper and they will do the job just fine. Not saying I don't like the Copics, but if you are not an artist and simply want to color images for a card, there is no reason you need to jump on the Copic band wagon, IMO!

There really are quite a few differences between Prismas and Copics. A search through past threads should find quite a few discussions about this.

Real quick:

Copics:
-are refillable
-come in 3 different styles (Original, Sketch & Ciao)
-has an airbrush attachment
-considered a "lifetime" marker by many
-310 colors

Prismas:
-not refillable
-comes in one marker style
-some have reported a stronger odor with these than Copics
-156 colors

That's what I can think of off the top of my head. I'm partial to Copics...I'm thinking of them as an investment.
