Are you talking about the wire cubes or the white particle board ones? If it's the particle board ones, I have to say I don't really care for them, mostly just because other brands are a little bigger. I haven't actually tried any though; I just use a different brand.
I have the drawer, it stores most of my DP. You can't put something really heavy on top of it, or the drawer won't close all the way. I also super glued the rails (what my hanging folders sit on) into the drawer because the weight of the paper would pull on them too much. Once I figured out to glue it in and take off the cube I had on top of the drawer one, I really like it!
Don't they have some kind of new modular storage? I could have sworn I saw some interlocking cubes (not the wire or particle board that they've had) in the Sunday ad today. I'll have to go check again....they reminded me of one of the Ikea systems, there were little matching drawers and everything.
I have the original Target white cubes, same as the ones at Michaels. I LOVE them. I have eleven--ten stacked 2 high 5 across, and one separate (it's going to get casters under it as my large Xyron sits on it and slides under my counter). Even my hubby said it was a great investment for my room.
The only problem I've had is when I dropped a drawer and had to fix the drawer pull--not a biggie.

Okay. I've been on the computer all day long researching the cube storage systems. The highest reviews have been for the Jetmax brand. They have silver drawer pulls as well as a little place (like a file drawer has) to insert a paper with the contents' name on it. Make sense? Target has about 3 different styles.
The other brand is Foremost. This is what Target has a huge selection of (drawers that go two cubes across, cabinets, etc.) I just haven't heard any rave reviews on it.
I want to put this system in a closet, so only have room for two across and then I wanted to stack them 6 high. Is that going to be a problem? As you know, my stuff is HEAVY (stamps, punches, paper, paper...)
The Scrap 'n Cube drawers are the absolute best on this earth! I can literally stand on my desk with these, and they are very sturdy. All solid wood construction. Love it! I have had it for 3 years, and I continue to add to my collection. This company and their service is amazing. Here are some links for you!
I have quite a few of the white ones and I love them. I mixed and matched them but my favorites are the 3 drawer ones for me to store all my "special" papers.
blessings.
Oh My.... I had to write to this. I must have 40 target cubes in my studio. They are fantastic!! I love that I can move them around and build them myself. I think the open four shelves and the three drawer files are the most useful. They are a quality product.

I have 19 of the Target Cubes....a wall of storage and I love them.
I have seen the cubes at Archivers and they are probably more sturdy, but for the price I got so much more and if you store the heavier things in the bottom drawers I've not had a problem with the drawers opening and shutting.

What hanging folders are you using? and where did you get them? I tried letter size (too small); legal size (too big). My drawer rails are 13" apart and I really need some hanging files for all my paper.
I don't like the ones that hold the hanging file folders. I have tried superglue, but the rails keep coming out. Other than that, the others are great.
I have the Target JetMax also, I love them! They do smell at first, so I let mine sit on the patio table for a few days after I put them together. Right now I have 6.
Ok I need some help here. I bought 12 of the JetMax Craft Storage Cubicles from Target and one of them is the Multi Function Cubicle with the slide out container holders, well it wasn't included in the package, does any one know where can I get these. I went back to my Target, nothing, went to Michaels where they also sell it, nothing, I need help as to where can I get them or suggestions.......
Thank you
Ariel

On your instruction sheet for putting the cubes together, there should be an 800# for JetMax, the manufacturer. I was missing a drawer pull for one of mine, and called them, and they were most helpful. Now, it took a long time for it to come, but it did eventually come.
I just pulled my old instruction sheet out--800-880-0714

I have 12 of these, but only stacked 2 high. I have eight (2 rows of four) stacked on top of a old dresser so they are higher. I lvoe them. I used Michaels 50% coupon this weekend and purchased 3 more. I was so excited that Michaels now carry them as an item.
Yes I love the 3 drawers for DS paper and scrapbook pages, I also love the 4 drawer for envies and background stamps. I like the 1 drawer also you get 1 bigger drawer and a shelf.
Have fun
Enjoy ;)

Hi. I really need storage badly but this art stuff all weighs a ton LOL.....how many cubes high do you stack them? Do any of them have casters? Do you have pretty heavy items in/on the cubes? Thanks so much for any help and thx to the OP -- great topic. Storage is always a challenge.......

I stacked my cubes 4 high because of my height so I can get to the cubicles without having to stretch. I hope that helps you out.....

Mine are 4 high so far...mix of 3 drawer, 4 drawers and the ones with the 43 or 4 shelves. I need to get more. No problems with mine and the ones with paper are very full.
blessings. Oh..I got mine at Mikes and Target.
I bought the Michael's stacking cubes in the dark walnut color. It was on clearance...does anyone know why? Are they bad quality? I bought 12 of them to stack but haven't opened them yet to put together. They were 50% off $49.99 on clearance for $24.99. They let me use the 40% or 50% coupon when I bought them eventhoug on clearance. So really good deal I got. They won't carry them anymore...but they still have the white ones. If I need to add to them...I won't be able to find the dark color anymore. Does anyone know who sells the dark colored ones? Thanks!
i have the jetmax brand from target. they are the white ones and i love them!!! i have no problem with the drawers. i also have the desk top. most of mine are stacked 3 high except the desk part. i love the 2 shelf one with the glass door and the three drawer cubes...i have the dividers (also bought at target, same section). you can also buy casters at target for these cubes although they may have put those on clearance. i did not pay more than $13.00 for any one of my 11 cubes. (if they had more on clearance, i would have bought more!!) also my son works there so i got an extra 10% off!! i wish i had more because i get to move my stamp room to a MUCH bigger room and could use more....but i'm not paying full price!
