Seriously, I go as light-handed as I possibly can, just barely touching the very tip of brush nib into the area. Works for me but might take a bit of practise to start off with.
I use a very light touch as well, but sometimes I cheat and pull out my Memento markers, which have a very fine tip on one side. It usually isn't a problem to use them since areas that tiny are generally too small to blend in anyway.

Where are you getting memento markers? This is the first Ive heard of those
I use the very tip of the sketch brush markers with a very light touch.......it gets easier with more practice. I do have an original blender pen to use that fine nib once in a while though.............practice, practice, practice, and ENJOY!
Like the OP, I wanted the finest point marker I could get too. I went with the option in Copics - the Originals. You can replace the fine point with a superfine point nib and it's wonderful. Not as many colors as the Sketch model, but I got all the colors I could in the Originals and then got the SKetches to fill in. Just a thought..
