Default Using shaving cream technique - which ink?

Stamping on a shaving cream and reinker card made on SU white cardstock, can I use Momento ink or do I need to use Stazon? I'm using cling stamps. Thank you!

I went looking at other directions for this technique. The technique here, doesn't say any preference to stamping ink. Brandy Cox has a tutorial on her blog from years ago and she used Stazon, but that is the preferred SU way. I think I tried it once and most likely used Versafine ink. Possibly try it with both Memento ink and a permanent ink then see the difference.

I have used Stazon only for stamping on non-porous items such as cellophane or glass. I have used both Memento Tuxedo Black and VersaFine on shaving cream backgrounds, etc. Now y'all have made me realize how long it's been since I played with that! lol

Thanks, back in the day we used to use Stazon, but the other ink we had was not as good as Momento. I don't have both to try which is why I was hoping to find the answer before making a supply order. Thanks for your answer.

Thanks so much. I'll order Momento and try it. I didn't like the smell of Stazon so I'm glad to try Momento. I appreciate your taking the time to answer.

Back in the day, we used cheap shaving cream and classic reinkers (dye ink) on glossy Card stock. On regular card stock, dye ink wit work but when you wipe it off you won’t get as many swirly effects because it will soak into the paper very quickly.

Thank you for the reminder to use glossy card stock, but in this case I want a very muted look so I am using just regular white card stock. I agree, glossy is the way to go for a more beautiful look.

Back in the day before I had so many reinkers, I used liquid food coloring because I was doing a VSN where I wanted to do all the challenges.
