Default Are the petal point chalk pads a MUST? Convince me!!!!

I see all the great cards with the drunken chalk technique. Are they a MUST or just a nice addition to your supplies. What else do you do with them????

Thanks!

After seeing the drunken chalk technique here, I've decided they are a must have for me. Just to try them out, I picked up a couple of the cat's eye pads at the stamp store to play with. I'm not having a lot of luck getting the drunken chalk to look like I want but I love the look of the chalk ink. They will definitely be on my SU order!

i bought these after seeing them demo'd at leadership and i LOVE them! it's all of the great things about pigment ink without the dry time wait. i've used them with the SAB paint prints set and it looks really pretty, IMHO.

I love the quick dry time, the soft look and the way they are used more like craft inks. I got one set and cannot wait til I place another order so I can get the others!

Default A world without chalk inks! NEVER...

I LOVE my chalk inks -- I reach for them first many times, just because of the coverage and the softer look. I LOVE them!

If you do it carefully, veeeeeeery carefully, they can be used as a rainbow/spectrum pad!!

I would NOT do this at a stamp camp, workshop etc., but as a technique for you to use -awesome!!!!

You have to pounce the stamp up and down in the exact same spot or you will muddy the pads!!

And you can combine the colors as you want them!!!

Has anyone else tried this or did I actually come up with something new???

Okay, I know you can take out each pad and apply it to get just about the same look, but it is a wee bit different!!!
