Photoshop question?

Okkkk I am wanting to create a fancy watermark with swirls as a background and text over the top in photoshop. I can't for the life of me figure out how I get swirls in there. Are there any photoshop gurus out there who can help me! I see all these beautiful watermarks and havent a clue how to make one!! Any help much appreciated.

Karen:)

watch this tutorial on how to create a watermark and then instead of using text as your background insert an image of a swirl (perhaps from a digi scraping kit or clip art on your computer) and adjust the opacity and bevel if you want.

hold down the 'ALT key' and press the numbers 0169 on your numberpad.

Kurtis~
Do you need to have photoshop 5.0 to use watermarks?
I have 3.0 and am not sure I want to spend more $$$.

krabearkub 05-30-2007 10:05 AM

nope, no need to upgrade - you could probably use 2.0 as all you need to do is adjust the opacity on layers. :)

I used 4.0 and don't plan on upgrading anytime soon as it works fine.

I have a question for you...I have added some fancy flourish type brushes to my PSE 5, but when I create a watermark with them all of the text is saved and not the flourish's...any idea what I am doing wrong? or not doing?

So spill it...what did you do and how did you do it? And where did you get flourish brushes?

Dorinda 07-15-2007 03:17 PM

oh my! I spent all weekend online, searching and reading blogs and digital scrap sites all over the place!! I downloaded some freebies and installed them successfully and then had to learn how to use them.

I am brand new to photoshop elements so this was a huge deal for me

Dorinda 07-15-2007 03:18 PM
