Default how to tell if SU Basic Gray reinker is felt or foam formulation?

Basic Gray was one of the Stampin Up colors that were reformulated when transitioning from felt to foam in pads a few years ago. I would like to know if I can tell by looking at the label if my (two) Basic Gray reinker bottles are the outdated formulation or the new one.

I think I've attached a picture with the bar code from both bottles. The numbers listed are 109121 (on both), 821-06 and 11059 on one bottle, and 821-19 and 14162 on the other bottle.

I think you may have two old basic grays. The newer one is item #121044. And the new archival gray is #140929.

The 109121 is the ordering number that was on Basic Gray ink refills when first introduced in the Fall-winter 2007 catalog. That is page 165 of that catalog.

Just for fun, I checked the one color of ink that I bought duplicates of refills for. They're in Soft Suede. The ordering number appears under the barcode and is the same for both bottles. But the other numbers on the bottle are different (657-01 and 657-12) and only one bottle has an additional 5 digit number (13287). Those other numbers appear to be batch numbers. The important one is under the barcode...the order number for that color.

So. What you have is two refills of Basic Gray 109121 purchased at two different times and from two different batches. Both are the old formulation.
