I always found the crayola to be rather hard. I prefer Prismacolor or Der Went Coloursoft, but that's just me. BTW, both of those brands are available as open stock, if you prefer to try 1 pencil before investing money in any sets.:-D
I love the koh-in-noor pencils. I have prismacolor too. I have to say both are worth the money. I have the SU watercolor pencils too and am happy with them too.

My thoughts....if you can get the results you want from a certain product.....who cares what the brand name is....so if you color with Crayola pencils and like what you produce......Go For IT!!!
If you are asking if there are differences between brands...then yes....there are differences and everyone still has their preferences....I really enjoy my prismacolored pencils...
I agree with Eva (Post #7). Prisma and Copic aren't the only coloring products around. Whatever works for you. It's the end result that works for you that you're trying to achieve.
Ditto what ever works for you, art is all about you!! I have use Crayola before, almost anything just to see how it looks/works. I do really like the Prisma Coloured pencils and there are some new ones out, and does anyone know if they match the new in-in colours? [On a silly note it seems so funny to see the word colour spell without the 'u' guess it's just one of our slight differences in spelling lol]
I have both the Prismas and the koh-in-noor pencils, and they both do a great job. However, I have to say that for some colors the koh-in-noor pencils, have richer deeper hue. I purchased those resently at Michael's. They were $16.99 for 24, but with my 55% (ACM's) they were just $7.65 well worth the money for quality pencils.

my boyfriend pat bought me some nice pencils. They're called Scribblers 40. They are so nice! They blend well with gamsol too. I really like the end results.

I've never heard of these....please tell us more! Where did he get them, are they similar in price to prismas, how colors many in the set? Can you tell I haven't yet decided which pencils to spend the $$ on?
