Hey all of you fellow crafters! I see that Joann's has the OTT lamps 50% off right now and I want to get one for my craft space. I'd like a desktop model.
Any recommendations????
Thanks in advance!

I don't have an Ott brand lamp, but I do have a day-light lamp made by Hunter (the people that make fans_ and it's a desk style with a long lamp arm that hangs over my work area. I would suggest that type of model. My mother-in-law has an Ott floor lamp that she loves for quilting but I would think if you're sitting at a desk or table, that a desk swim lamp arm type would be most ideal. Hope that helps.

My husband got the table lamp and I got the clip on one...I like the clip on b/c I can clip it to my coffe table when I'm in front of the TV, and move it back to my craft room when I need to.

I got the 18W desktop for christmas it is AWESOME. I love the difference in light and like that the "neck" bends so I can direct light wherever it's most needed.

I got the flip open one for my stamping desk and it makes such a difference than the old banker's green lamp I was using. I can truly say that this is one of the best purchases I have made for crafting especially stamping. I bought mine at Hobby Lobby for 40% off which made it very affordable. I highly recommend the Ott light.

I have the Ott craft lamp. It has an outlet on the base so I can plug in my heat gun. I absolutely love the natural light it provides when I'm stamping at midnight! There is a huge difference between elegant eggplant and eggplant envy, you know!! :-)
I don't remember the technical description, but my light provides "sunlight." I can see what every color would look like in daylight. It's amazing how artificial the light from my lamps are. Did you ever buy something at the mall and then got it home and thought the color was different - because of the fluorescent mall lights? That's what it's like.
