Question Can you help me find this?

Hi Everyone!

I have been hired to make the wedding stationary for my S/I/L to be's upcoming wedding (invites, encloseures, thanks yous, etc.) She wants a custom monogram for the thank you notes and, so far, I have been unable to find something suitable. I have looked at the selection of Just Rite but the overall size seems to be too small. I have also looked at Paper Angel but, again, the images available are just too small. I am looking for a medium to large sized custom first initial monogram that can be stamped on a slider on the front of a horizontal A-2 sized card. Can anyone direct me to a custom stamp manufacturer who could make something like this for me? I would like the monogram to be a scrolly (is that even a word ;) ), "M&G" that has a fancy enough font to be used on a formal thank you note.

This brings me to my second request: I need to find a slider die large enough to use with the above monogram stamp. I have both a cuttlebug and a big shot, so it could be a die compatible with either machine. I already have some slider dies for my cuttlebug, but they're all too small for this project. My second thought was to order some nestabilities and use the horizontal slot punch to make them into a slider. Any suggestions?

I already have most of the details for this project sorted out, but these last two items are proving hard for me to find. Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!

*Aimee*

Why don't you just print it out on the computer?

Because they really want the stamp and they want the image embossed. Plus, they want the invite to look a certain way, and I think a simple computer print out wouldn't give them the formal look they are going for. My biggest fear is having the end result look like a craft project, rather than really nice wedding stationary, Know what I mean?

Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Try looking at some of the Martha Stewart alpha stamps. I think I recall seeing a nice scrolly type font on one of the them. As for the cut out shapes, maybe you could get friendly with someone who owns a Wishblade/Silouette/CraftRobo or Cricut machine. Then you could get virtually any shape up to the size limitations the machine could cut.

I actually did check out a great selection of Martha's alpha stamps at Michael's. They were very pretty but just not the right size/ style for what I am looking for. Plus, the bride and groom want to be able to keep whatever stamp I have made for them so that they can use it again in the future. Hmmm...I do know some people who own a cricut. Thanks for the tip!

Any other suggestions from anyone? With all the stamp companies out there surely there must be at least one who could make a stamp for me (sorry to whine, I guess I just thought it would be easier for me to find ;) )
TIA!!!!

How about these stamps from Papertry Ink:

Ambassador Monogram Edition

Wedding Day Borders

Border & Corners Monogrammed Edition

Simply Stationary

Also, are their any stamp stores, more for business, in your area? I went with a friend to one near where we work to make a Designed by Lori stamp for the tags for the jewelry she made. Maybe from a company like this, http://www.rubberstamps.net/

Default make your own stamp

You can buy a kit to make your own custom stamps from Just Rite Stampers. I saw this demo'd on the Scraplounge and checked it out. It's pretty cool......although it's a bit pricey. However.......since you could get the look you're going for and they want a stamp they can have to use later, it may be worth the investment. Maybe they'd buy it for you since you're doing all the work??

You make a copy of any image you want to use and then using a lamp and their special stamp packs you create your own clear stamps. I'd like to get one myself since you can make anything you can print out into a stamp.

You could print any font in any size you want, then make your custom stamp and when you're done you can give them the stamp for their future use.

Hope this works for you. Good luck!! :-D

OK.........it's me again........about the JustRite kit.

I just went to their website and they've changed the kit so now it's only $40.
(It used to come with more supplies and it was in a hard case when they first introduced it. The cost was about $150.) This looks like a much better deal because you can add on what you need later and this new package has what you need to get started. You can always find something to store it in. They also have a lightbox now, but when I saw the demo they used a regular clamp on type table lamp and put it directly over the poly pack.

Their website is justritestampers.com.

Guess I should have looked at their site before I made my previous reply to you!!

Happy stamping!;)

there is a store near me that dose custom stamps for about $17 to $20 each. you bring in the image and they send it out somewhere. You may be able to find the same service online or in a locale store.
