Default Bugawumps rubber stamp

I have a ancient stamp I been keeping. It is a Bugawump rubber stamp. says 1997 Laura A Jacobs on it. It is some type of plant leaf or such. I was wondering if anyone would remember or know by looking what it might be and how I can use the stamp? see the attached pic

That looks like a pine-type branch. You could use it any way you’d use a foliage stamp. It’s hard to judge the size from a picture but if it’s big enough it could be a lovely focal image. You could also stamp “off the edge” to make a frame around the edge of another image or a big sentiment. Try stamping it on some scrap paper and see how it looks and what it suggests to you.

Wow I have not heard bugawumps in a long time

I agree it looks like a pine branch. I might add you can make a background with it. Bump it up and heat emboss it. You can put a bird sitting on it.

Does not have to be Christmas-can be winter or really anytime as pines are evergreens.

I like the idea of putting a bird on it
just have to figure out how to make it look more presentable, there is something about it I just don't like, not my favorite stamp, keep thinking of ditching it

I think stamping it off the edge would be a good choice

I wonder if your slight reservation is that the stem part looks a bit too substantial for the frondy needles? If so, stamping off the edge might solve that. Margot’s idea of adding a bird is a great one. You could also try stamping it horizontally and then stamp Christmas ornaments hanging from it so it takes on more of a “supporting role”.

Oh yeah...Joanne's idea of ornaments works too.

Now that I see it like that...it actually reminds me of sea plants.

Try stamping it without the branch. Make a wreath.

But hey-if you don't like it-there is no law saying you HAVE to keep it. I give you permission to give it away or donate it.

BTW...no offense but I would clean it. The picture you showed us had a lot of ink on it-which might give you thicker lines? Might look nicer clean and dont press as hard. You might get thinner lines. Try a dye ink. The ink on there looked like a pigment which is thicker.

Wellll...the way you stamped it makes it look pretty wacky! To tone it down you could ink up only 2 or 3 of the branches, and not overlap the images. It won't look so active if you stamp only a part of the entire image. I do like the idea of stamping around the card front then use the blank center for your sentiment.
