Default Should I sell my Cuttlebug?

I'm sure this subject has come up before, but I was wondering what I should do. I just purchased a big shot and I was debating if I should sell my cuttlebug. I really see no need to keep both since the big shot will accept the cuttlebug dies and cuttlebug embossing folders I have, plus I'm a SU demo now so I won't be using my cuttlebug during my classes and such.

What do you all think? Should I keep my cuttlebug or sell it? Does anyone have both? And I'm curious as to why you kept both? I just don't want to be sorry if I sell mine, KWIM?

I kept both too. I use my BS for die cutting and I have my CB for embossing. I know the BS can do both but I seem to get better embossing results with my CB. That's just my opinion though!!

i sold by CB after I got my bigshot. I kept both for awhile, but found i never needed more than the one. Since i was still an SU demo at that point, I kept the BS and sold the CB - haven't missed it at all. Plus, I used the money to buy more goodies

I would sell it, too. I did the same thing -- I think the BS is more fun to use and sturdier, and would never use the CB after having the BS.

I would keep the CB. You won't get much for it as they have 40-50% off coupons everywhere to use on new ones .
What will you do if at some time in the future you are in the middle of a project and your BS quits. At Least you would have the CB until you could buy another BS or send it in to be repaired.
I always like having a back up for important things
I have a spare hair dyer & coffee pot too LOL

If you have friends who come over to craft, I say keep the CB and that way you can both be die-cutting at the same time

I'm another who has both; I'd part ways with my BS before my C'bug.

My friend has both. She had the BS first and then bought the CB for going to crops and taking to the cottage.

I sold my CB and never looked back! The BS does it all...and easier IMO.

I got my BS today. Used it a half dozen times, and posted my CB on kijiji. I'm done with the CB. I am not one to scrap/crop/make cards/whatever on the go, so portability is not a concern for me.

Personally, I would keep both. I have a BIGkick, Cuttlebug, Cricut and Expression and would never part with any of them.

If you really don't want the Cuttlebug, why not give it to someone, do you really need to sell it. They are cheap to purchase new so why would someone want a used one. If you really want to part with it, just give it to someone as a good will gesture.

I just rescued my CB from my Mom's home. She wasn't using it. Way over her head. Least that is her excuse.

I have a beautiful Pink & Black BigKick. I love it so much. I like the embossing better with the Cuttlebug. I like how Nesties come out in the CB. I have my recipes memorized for this machine. I use the CB for Nesties and Embossing. I use the BigShot for all my heavy mixed media work. The combination works out really well. I am one of those girls that doesn't like to keep tools in my home that does the same thing. The BS & CB definitely have a place in my craft room. It does make crafting easier and more creative for me.

Thank you so much to everyone for helping me decide! My husband said I should keep it as well. I didn't realize that the cuttlebug embosses better than the big shot and I do a lot of embossing.

I just didn't want to be sorry if I sold it, so I guess I'd better keep it. I like that the cuttlebug is smaller than my big shot plus I got to thinking if I was ever doing a huge project (like when I made the wedding invitations for my neighbor's fianc) it would be nice to have two machines to make things go a little faster.

If you have the space, keep it for back up.

So funny that you'd post this question...My DH just got me the Big Kick for Valentine's day. He specifically pointed to the Cuttlebug and said "You don't need that anymore, do you?"

I have been in a "clean out" mode and I mentioned to a friend that I was considering it and she said she would love to buy it.

So I sold it to her for $25.

Now I need to get rid of my old red Sizzix machine and possibly my Zip 'e Mate, too.

Keeping the QK handtool and the sidekick, though.

I have been in a cleaning mood as well and I guess that was the reason I was going to sell it. I figured I could buy something else with the money (not that it would be that much). My one friend doesn't want a cuttlebug and my other friend who stamps already has a big shot.

Right now I have a huge pile of stuff I've decided to sell or trade and so I guess I've cleared out enough so I can keep my cuttlebug.
