Are you talking about the 30 day trial of My Digital Studio? Here's how to get it:
You can order My Digital Studio Express through your demonstrator’s online store or stampinup.com. You can order the free trial by itself, or you can add it to an order with stamping supplies or digital downloads. If the My Digital Studio Express Trial is the only item you order, you will not be asked for any credit card or payment information. If you are a new customer, you will need to create an account.
I tried it too and it does not work! I am so disappointed and disgusted in this! I emailed SU and asked them about it and what they told me to do is impossible! It does not work! She told me that you do not have to fill in the form and just click continue --and it says you do and everytime I fill it out --it says something is wrong even if it is not! Just ridiculous promotion if it won't let you do it!
Okay ---finally got it --and yes, you do need to put in your demonstrator info ---and fill out the form---unlike what they told me in the email. But once I got that far ----you have to BUY Quicktime if you do not already have it --to use it. So much for that free offer! Never been so disappointed with SU before!
I finally just found that. I downloaded it and did the download for the free SU Digital Studio. I went into it and could not figure out what the heck to do with it! Ha!! Felt pretty stupid looking in there! So ---uninstalled the SU and the QuickTime!!! Going back to my Cameo and my stamps and accessories! Much easier for me! Ha!!
Dont feel bad I have not figured it out yet either...lol. The download and installation and upgrade of quick time went fine. Just not sure where to start to use the free trial.
blessings.
I called stampin up. She could not help me at all. Was unfamiliar with how to install. Said she was sorry. I told her considering this was a trial for ppl who have not used the program, it is not user friendly and to please pass that on.
SU called me today after I had emailed them with my frustration ----before I posted on this chat. I did tell her that they did not need to help me any further with it as I gave up. It was too hard to figure out. Not easy to use. That I consider myself "pretty good" with the computer and I was totally lost! I did also tell her that it would not make me give up on SU!!! I have --cannot even count ---how many SU stamp sets that I have ---plus all the stamp pads, etc., I was just frustrated with the "free" chance to try the program and nothing worked for me! Call them with your complaints and let them know that it is not user friendly.
I am so glad to hear that! I was beginning to think it was just me!!
I am not mad at the company, but this was a stupid promo....
I know multiple systems... am not stupid about downloads...
This was about the most confusing thing I have run into in about 10 years??? Either they are way behind in their technology or they have a super problem.8-)

This is a free site hosted by SU that's open to everyone, not just demos. There you will find TONS of resources as well as forums and samples.
It really is a great program! I'm not good with computers at all but with a little research and playing around you can be a pro in no time. I have made hundreds of pages with it! It's worth checking out the site I think!

Well I don't know about issues with the free download as I have the whole software but the website is great. There are video tutorials and everything! Jan Tink and Wendy Wiexler (both are SCS members) are also offering a MDS club you can subscribe to and I've heard rave reviews about it!
There IS a learning curve with MDS but once you figure it out, it's pretty easy. It just takes some time and playing around.

She did not mention this at all. In fact almost did not sound like she was familiar with the product at all. Thanks!

Well it seems that not all the agents are properly informed in all areas. We do have quite a lot of products so it would be hard to keep up with them all. I do think they should be better informed on MDS with the free trial though! Check out the MDS site, it's quite informative!
