After reading through many lists, it seemed like Suzanne's was similiar to what everyone else recommends for color grouping. (Warning: even though it's a starter list, it has at least 60 or so markers listed! And I want more!!! She breaks it down according to color families such as browns, pinks, reds, blues, etc.) If you have the $80 to spend (i.e plan to buy at least 21 markers), go with CarpeDiem since they seem to be the most "in stock" of the Sketch markers. (I hate to wait for back order.)
I purchased the starter list over 2 orders. I decided what I was most likely to "color". (In my case, it was that darn "Feelin' Fruity" from MFT stamps, so I went with reds, oranges, and greens. I also picked up a few of the cool grays and browns to "fill out" the first order. The pinks, blues, and purples were later. (They're much more spring colors.)
Still addicted to coloring.... and LOVING it....
