I bought an ATG gun! Before I pushed the "confirm order" button, I figured out that I could buy 152 glue sticks for the same money. Oh Lordy, this thing better hold my hand and feed me chocolate!
Well, it might fall short on the chocolate infusion, but this baby will go the distance - after one roll, you'll think about those glue sticks and just laugh.
I don't think you will regret it! There is a day or two learning curve, but beyond that, it is awesome! I love not changing refills for such a long time!

I told my hubby that it was an investment that would pay off in time. For every inexpensive roll of tape, how much would I have had to spend on tape runners and/or glue dots???? I'm loving mine!

That is the same excuse I gave my hubby a few days ago when I ordered mine! I can't wait to get it!
Yup it is the best. I don't take mine with me to my monthly stamp club and every month I am reminded how wonderful the ATG is. It sticks so great. As soon as I get home from stamp club I reglue everything with the ATG.
I still do buy refills of Tombow and the KoKoYo dot roller but I loathe them compared to my ATG!
Such praise for an adhesive....now I need to see what this looks like. Anyone have a link to share?
Not that I can afford it now with all the Papertrey I've been buying lately. *grin*
They are amazing tools...I have not regreted for a second the initial purchase of $34.95 because I am saving big $$$$ on adhesive. The rolls are very large and inexpensive. I have 714.
I have one on-order too-- it seems like it's taking FOREVER to get here! But I was making a OSW set this evening with a glue stick, and I was getting residue on pieces where there wasn't supposed to be glue, and it made me even more excited to get this tool that everyone is raving about!
I just got the 714 atg and have been using it on my Christmas cards. I didn't like it at first but now I love, love, love it. I have used up an entire roll of adhesive but I have made lots of cards with lots of layers.
 Oh my goodness!!! Mine just got here today and it is wayyyyyy bigger than I thought --- I don't know what I thought really, but man is that puppy large! lol When you compare it to the tiny little tombow dispenser - ha! I can see now why the rolls should last awhile. I'm hoping to love it as much as everyone else - think I will look into the decorating threads - I can also see why you would do that now - lol! How do any of you ladies ever lose it though?
That's its best feature--un-lose-ability! :-) Anything smaller would get lost in the craft storm.
No - this is what made me laugh hysterically when I opened the package - I remembered reading somewhere that someone bought 2 or 3 or however many she did as she kept losing the one --- how did that possibly happen?? How big was her craft room? roflmao!
Muuuuuuch bigger than mine. :-) Mine is a room--however it's also supposed to be the homeschool room. LOL Lots of books and school supplies and games and dress-up clothes. I try to pretend that all the mess is my kids' fault.
You will love it! I had a hard time initially because I am left handed and could not see where the tape was going- but quickly got the hang of it! 3 of my doubting friends- one who said ' you nerd-that is one big honking tool!" converted after they saw how easy it really is; it is truly economical after the initial investment--and it really sticks! This is what converted 1 friend- she could not get 2 textured papers to stay adhered-----until she tried my atg! It is big- but lightweight! I was a Hermafix tab and dotto devotee- until I got the ATG! Diane
I finally took the plunge yesterday and bought myself one. I've been wanting one for almost a year now. I can't wait to use it on my cards and scrapbook pages!
I checked out the prices on the web before, during and after reading all the posts (there is at least one a day! on this site b/c we are ALL very EXCITED after ordering) and the best price place is www.framingsupplies.com it will probably take about 2 days to get to you. I ordered my on Saturday, it arrived wrapped in all of it's bubble wrap glory on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. I ordered the 714, 1/4" gun and 3 rolls of gold acid free tape, the cost of the gun was $36 and change, the total order of gun, tape and shipping was just over $50.00, like $51.36 or something like that. While stamping yesterday (CASEing the "Joy" Archivers card) I noticed I still have 6 bottles of brand new Tombow mono and other craft glue! Oh well......
Of course once you get the gun you have to load it immediately, which I did and then I promptly taped all the pages of my cell phone bill together. My mom was visiting for the holidays, and she is like, just what is that thing? and why was it wrapped in bubble wrap?
However, the most hysterical thing I have seen regarding the ATG is the post earlier this week of the woman who decorated her gun, the post was made this week. She did a great job glittering the gun. I have to admit I cracked up when I saw the post, is that too funny or what? Such creativity!
LOL! I got my ATG gun from framingsupplies.com, too. There was a thread a while back where people were refering to the bubble-wrapped ATG as a "pod". Cracked me up! Anyway, I hated the thing for the first two days, because it felt really heavy and unwieldy, but I stuck with it and I can honestly tell you now that it is my very favorite stamping tool. I would never consider using anything else!
I don't take mine with me to my monthly stamp club and every month I am reminded how wonderful the ATG is. It sticks so great. As soon as I get home from stamp club I reglue everything with the ATG.
Why not take it with you? I've taken mine to a few stamp a stacks and a stamp camp and it helps me SPEED through my projects. I certainly wouldn't want to have to reglue everything after getting home because that is a time eater and defeats the cost savings from using the ATG to begin with.....
