Smile Spellbinders Nestabilities

HI. I wanted to find out if anyone has these that uses them on the Big Shot. I want to know if you need the tan mat they sell to use with them to emboss them, or can you use the mat that you need to use to emboss the sizzix texture plates in the Big Shot? I hope this makes sense. I want to get some, but before purchasing them I want to make sure I have what I need to use them. I have a coupon to use by the 31st of this month to save 40% off on a site and was hoping to get the answer by then. Thanks for any help you can give!!!!

There are some videos on youtube that might help you decide. Just type Nestibilities in the Search.
Try the ones by CropStop.com, she explains everything very clearly. I think she even says that you can use the Sizzix pad during the video. Plus, you will find videos by other people, who share their info with the Big Shot.
Also, in the thread called Big Shot FAQ, you will find the chart that tells you what you need and how to layer the plates when you put them into the machine.

All of this might help you decide what you want to do.

Also, if you decide to do this, you might want to check [email protected] because if you join the VIP club (it's free), you will get a 40% coupon every month by email that you can use to get more Nestibilities. Her prices are the best for them that I have found so far.

Hope this helps you out a bit. :-D

Do a search on Big Shot and you'll find it discussed all over the place. Personally I have the 'bug. I use a plumber's flange (sheet of rubber) and additional card stock shims to emboss with my nesties. I'm sure it has to be something similar for the BS.

Thanks Kitty. That is actually where I have the coupon for. Are you able to use the coupon every month on spellbinders?

I bought 2 full sets from her using the coupons. You get a new coupon each month. The only drawback is - if she doesn't have it in stock ... it may take a while. I waited 6 weeks for my first set.

I think you can. When you get the email, it does tell you what you can NOT use it on.

So far, I have always been able to use it.

Good Luck and Happy "Nesting"! :-D

To emboss in the Big Shot you can use the silicone mat that is used with the sizzix texture plates. There is no need to buy the tan mat if you already have the sizzix mat.
