If I am just changing colors and I want to keep the stamp in position I use one of those lawn fawn shammies ( its like an "absorber" (in the vehicle isle of the store) but without the fuzzballs left behind.) you get it wet and wring it out and just wipe your stamps.
My Absorber is just like a leather chamois, even light tan like the real leather. It has a slippery feel like wet leather when it's wet. It couldn't make "fuzzballs" if it tried. What did yours look like, Stacy?
I squirt a spray of homemade stamp cleaner on the stamp while on the Misti, take my CTMH brush to it, and then stamp the stamp on the wet Absorber until it stamps clear, if it doesn't the first time.

Exactly the same for me.
I tried the absorber and didn't like it but I love my CTMH brush.
Diane, like warm fuzzy rags? ( I may have the wrong kind)
the lawn fawn one is smooth and when dry it is probably possible to crack it, its not flexible when dry like fabric, it gets hard.
I thought the same as Diane - whatever you got was NOT an Absorber! They are almost rubbery when they're wet, and are very stiff when dry - no fuzz anywhere to leave behind. I've never seen anything with the Absorber name on it that fits your description, but now you've got me curious enough to look next time I'm out and about...
Oh - and I use my Absorber with plain water to clean my stamps on the MISTI...
I had a look-around at Walmart's automotive section when I was there yesterday, and there is some kind of thing that looks fuzzy with the Absorber name on it, so that must be what you got, Stacy. I'd never seen it before, but there it was... I don't know what size the Lawn Fawn shammy is, but the Absorber is big enough to chop up and share with friends...
