Default Paper for Prismacolors

One of my crafty goals for the new year was to learn and try new things. I recently bought some Prismacolor pencils and now wonder about what paper they work best with (or if it even matters). I'd love to hear your feedback. Thanks!!

Hi Jen! For pencil work I like paper with a little tooth or texture to it - I usually just grab whatever is closest to me, but I like Neenah Classic Crest, Georgia Pacific (what I call Walmart White), and Bristol (the pad I have (Strathmore?) is smooth on one side and more toothy on the other side. The tooth gives the pigment somewhere to go on your paper - the toothier the paper, the more texture there is to fill with color.

Thanks Dina. Of course I have none of those so I may need to do some shopping! I've got lots of different whites so I'll do some experimenting with ones that aren't so smooth.

Jen, if you learn to use them maybe you can teach me! I have them from a long time ago and am a still unsure of what to do with them.
