Product just vanished into thin air?

What ever happened to the product that would allow you to remove a sticker...or something with adhesive on it and then be able to stick it back on right away (because it still remained sticky)? I cannot remember the name...I was in a scrapbook store asking about it and all the owner of the store said was "they had some issues with it". What was it and why did it disappear...anybody know?

You can try Goo Gone. That one works like a charm!

Was it Undo? I had it and loved it. It was great for taking photos out of the old photo albums from the 1960's. Now I can't find it.

Funny you should say that.... Mine actually did vanish into thin air. It evaporated because I didn't use it much.

I have seen it around again lately, but have been told that it was pulled and reformulated due to some chemical that was in it originally.

Hope you can find it again.

It won't hurt the pictures or ruin the paper though right?

I don't think I would use goo gone on photos. I have only used it to get stickers off of glass and such.

it is Un-du. i just bought some last week at my LSS. here is the web site listed on the back of the bottle. bigtimeproducts.net. maybe you can find a local place to buy it. good luck.

i love this stuff. haven't used it on photos, only on cardstock layers when i get stuff crooked (which is to often to mention). works like a charm. although i usually have to add a little more adhesive after it dries before using again.

Yes, Un-Du. About a year ago I had run out of my original bottle. I had a terrible time finding more. Finally founds some at a craft store pushed way back behind some other products. I heard that they had pulled all the supply becuase of some issue with the product. I have heard since then that they are going to put it back on the market. I don't use mine much, but when I do, I'm glad I have it. I have tried other products, but this one works the best and is the least messy. I primarily use it to clean my rubber cutting scissors after trimming stamps. Gets all the adhesive off.

I vaguely remember something about the manufacturer discontinuing it because it contained some chemical that had been banned in California.

Here's a thread about it coming back:

UnDu is coming back!

My LSS told me it had to do with one ingredient being flammable and therefore not allowed to ship over California borders. Anyway, it's back now. I don't know if they changed the formula, found some way around the shipping issue, or what, but it seems to work just as well.

What's keeping Un-Du out of California is a state law regulating Volatile Organic Compounds because of their potential impact on the environment. According to Un-Du, however, they are hoping to have it available in California by late 2008.

These laws exist in a lot of places. Here in Phoenix and surrounding cities, the hardware stores cannot sell a certain stain product that happens to be awesome. So, if you want it, you have to go to another city (Flagstaff, Prescott or Sedona) where it can be sold. Of course, Un-Du is not restricted in Arizona. These laws just vary by jurisdiction (and are annoying).

There was a full-page (if my memory isn't failing me?)add in this months Creating Keepsakes announcing the return of Un-du! I still had some left and was surprised....I didn't know it went away! My DH borrowed a bottle and I bought another back in the day when I thought it was missing. So I had enough to work with.

I hope you find what you need!

The reason it is (was) so flamable was because it was just a VERY expensive bottle of lighter fluid :-|
I also had one completely evaporate. Yikes!
Not sure I wanted it close to my photos!

I LOVE the K & Co. repositionable roll of scrapbook tape. I never have to worry about having to pry something apart. It is repositionable and becomes permanent with time. LOVE it!!!!
