Default I need help with my cuttle bug...

I bought a CB yesterday. We've been trying to play with it today.

It says that it forms a suction to hold it steady... Mine is not forming a suction at all. IT rocks and wobbles while we are using it.

What am I doing wrong?

What kind of surface do you have it on? I had mine on the SU cutting mat and it moved because the mat moved. So
I put it on my tabel and folded the sides down and it is stuck now. It might be your surface you have it on.

I use a 6 ft folding table (sam's club) so it's a solid surface.

Is the table really clean and grease or embossing powder free? Mine make such a suction that it has held for days and days if not moved or folded up. You do know the suction only works while it is open, right?

I have one of those solid surface tables from Sam's and it has a textured top - that could be the problem.

My CB won't stick to my Sams table so I just move it to the kitchen when I use it.

I was having the same problem, until I realized I needed to put both sides down at the same time. Then, great suction! LOL

I had been putting down one side and then the other, and that didn't engage the suction, so I found that by putting both sides down at the same time worked.

I also did this.. Once I figured it out, all was well. And man, that thing has suction, for such a small "machine"!

I just tried it on my cropper hopper bside my table.. worked great. So yep it's my table :-/

I've been thinking about getting a new kitchen table and moving my old table into my craft room. Hmm this might be the perfect timing then.

I have a formica surface in my work room which I cleaned with alcohol before using my Cuttlebug. As others have said, when I push both platforms down at the same time, there have been no problems.
