My local scrapbook store had a few MISTIs this weekend in and I still have a gift card from Christmas so I'm REALLY thinking of getting one of these myself.

Don't wait too long or they might all be sold before you go back!

I just can't see unmounting all my wood stamps or unmounting as I need. Or does everyone have more cling/photopolymer stamps than wood, so this is not an issue???
I won't be unmounting my wood stamps because the thought of doing that is overwhelming at this point in time! Plus I have alot of Penny Black stamps & I like having the wood-block with the coloured image on it as a reference for my colouring. But I made the decision (aside from a few stamps) to buy unmounted or cling mounted or clear/photopolymer stamps a couple of years ago to save storage space. I certainly stamp better/clearer images with a wood block for some reason but the other types, I have alot more trouble getting a good impression - and the MISTI solves that problem for me because I can re-stamp

I unmounted and catalogued all of my stamps a few years ago when space became an issue. I find I use a lot more of them now that I know what I have and where to find them. It was .well worth the winter I spent doing that. Especially love it now with MISTI--would highly recommend it!

I just got mine yesterday and I LOVE IT. I used a couple of my SU unmounted wheel stamps which are too long, so I just flipped it 90 and it worked perfectly! I'm still trying to figure out how to get the stamps lined up that have Framelits. I'm not getting the stamp centered in the negative. I love the fact that I can double stamp to get a richer color! Loving the videos by the different stampers for ideas on Pinterest. I'm a happy camper!

Once you've placed your stamp on the MISTI, stamp it on your graft sheet or paper you've wedged in the left corner.

Tate your negative cut and line it up over the image you stamped. I just use painters tape to hold the negative in place once I've lined it up.

Place your positive cut in the negative and stamp.

Hope this helps.

Ugh, I have read all 29 pages of this thread and watched videos/ I want my Misti like yesterday. I keep thinking about the card I made for the IC. I had to start that card like 4 times. I think the Misti would have solved that problem... So anxiously waiting!

Demonstrated my MISTI last Thursday and three friends placed an order to Sweet Petunina a fourth is waiting for her DH to buy it for her as a BD gift. I cannot spread the word fast enough as the MISTI truly lives up to it's name. I am truly a happy stamper.

The video above with the "dog" - she is using a sticky mat - what/where would one get this? Seems like a great idea.

Machines such as The Cricut use those sticky mats (I used to have one but sold it), and I'm sure you can buy mats like that at the big box craft stores such as Michaels.

It's the eClips mat and easy to get a hold of online. Probably B&M, too, but I found mine online. (They're really sticky at first! But once you reduce the stickiness, it's pretty handy.) Here's a video where she talks about the mat.

I've watched some if the videos; do y'all use this for stamping on layouts too? Obviously the size isn't same but just curious if all of you are card makers.

Thanks, Lydia, for fixing my post. I don't know how to embed the code.
You're so welcome - I've been meaning to take a moment and teach people how - I've just been fixing them as I see them.

I'm attaching screenshots below - you click share under the video, then click embed - all you have to do is copy and paste the code into a post to add the player - you don't have to format it at all.

Thank you!!

Just a note for YouTube app users. I can't find a way to find the embed code. So I have only added it when I'm on the computer. If anyone knows how to find it from my phone, I'd love to know. Thanks!

This is the most I've ever posted on any thread! I am so excited about this new tool! Last night while watching a movie, it suddenly occurred to me that the same technique using the negative from a die cut to center a stamped image would work for the stamp sets that have PUNCHES that match. I have a bear of a time matching up the stamps from the SU Flower Shop with it's matching punch. So I put our movie on hold and went into my craft room and tested it out! PERFECT! I have a master negative with a little tick mark in the same place as the tick marks I have on my stamps. I put the tick mark on the stamp at the top when I adhere the stamp to the MISTI and then stamp on a piece of scratch paper and because I put a tick mark on the negative it only takes a second to match of the negative to the stamped image! I am SO impressed with this tool. It truly is the Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented!
