I've used it with A Muse ink and haven't had any issues. My ink pads are 3 years old (since day 1 of being a consultant) and haven't re-inked them all this time. So, maybe my pads aren't as juicy. Maybe try lightly inking and if the image doesn't stamp properly....well, you know the power of the MISTI ... re-ink and stamp again. HTH

The MISTI is an acrylic, just like the clear blocks, so I'd think the TnP would be just fine. Many stampers leave the TnP on their blocks rather than having it on each stamp. When I get around to playing with my naked rubber and my MISTI, my plan is to use a full sheet (4 x 6.5) on the MISTI and move the stamps around at will. I'm thinking it should be fine. We'll see ... lol!

I got my Tracking number today . I just checked and my MISTI left the Post Office in Sherrad Il at 15:03 today It is on the way !

It appears that Iliania did get the a Postal Carrier to pick up the shipment . My tracking number says it was "Picked up by Request" at 10:03 today . So it must have taken the Postal workers 5 hours to document all those boxes. Some one said this past week she got a shipment of 500 .

I made a card with mine that I never would have been able to do without it. I can't believe how perfectly I was able to line up the "smile" stamp. This card makes me smile!

Default MISTI, a better video

This won't let me paste in the link because I haven't made 3 posts. Don't understand, but whatever. But,go to YouTube and type in: Mass Producing Stamped Cards - Misti Stamp Tool.

This makes more sense than the other video, she actually stamps, and it shows how to use it for mass production.

Just ordered mine last week-- so excited to get it!

I also just ordered the PRIMA doll cling stamps... I've only ever used clear acrylic stamps before. How would I mount the PRIMA stamps to the MISTI?

The Prima doll stamps are "cling", so they'll stick to the cover of MISTI as easily as the clear stamps do, plus you'll be able to get perfect impressions every time, since you can easily re-stamp any area that got "missed"...

I got my MISTI today and decided to use my worst stamp to see what would happen.
I used my "Stamp from Hell--SU's Dasher" and after 4 re-inked stampings I got a Crisp solid silhouette . It is a miracle

I was never able to get that stamp to produce a complete solid image. And believe me I tried everything including removing it from the wooden block and attaching it to E Z Mount .

Wow the MISTI is fantastic
Barbara

LOL!! I LOVE that stamp, but inking smooth rubber is soooo hard - this is what sold me on the MISTI when I first saw one - I love that it helps us love all our stamps more!

I want to take a minute and thank everyone who has contributed to this thread. My MISTI is here warming up after sitting outside all day and I can't wait to play with it. But I never would have heard about it except for the wonderful people on splitcoaststampers.

Oh and a HUGE thanks to Iliana for inventing the MISTI and sharing her creativity with the world.

I'm SO EXCITED, just ordered a MISTI! I've had my eye on this product for awhile now but wasn't sure I wanted to spend so much on a stamping tool. Well today I had cut out a bunch of die cuts (the kind that are not open dies), so you have to cut and then stamp. I've never been very good at lining things up, so I made sure I cut out 2 of each because I knew I'd mess some of them up when stamping them. And sure enough I did (so frustrating!) When hubby got home from work I showed him the die cut pieces I'd stamped, and some were lined up perfectly but many were not, and told him how frustrating that is. Then I showed him one of the MISTI videos, and I didn't even need to try and convince him I needed one, he exclaimed "wow, how cool is that?!! You need one of those!" Hee hee, how's that for an easy sale! So I ordered it and it said 1 to 2 weeks wait time. Had to share my excitement with people who would understand, WOOHOO!!!

My stamps that give me the most difficulty are some reverse silhouette stamps. I finally figured out to use distress inks and spritz them with water...that gave me a good image...but I would also like to do a solid, crisp inked one. I'm waiting for my MISTI...maybe tomorrow?

I had an epiphany too!

I figured out a cheap way to convert wood mounted stamps to cling stamps without having to purchase that super expensive EZ Mount. Just thinking out the steps right now.

Wow - so easy peasy. Works nicely in my MISTI too!

This is what I've been saying - but put the acrylic report cover on the Left hand side of the misti, and you never have to remove it, so then it's like 3 panels when you open both sides. Iliana did a video on it, but she taped it to the top. If you tape it on the left, it just always stays there at your ready. It works beautifully.

Do you remember the vinyl cling SU used to sell for their acrylic blocks? I used a couple of them on the two blocks I used the most and rest has been filed away since. Recently when I was doing some cleaning I was going to throw them out but kept them just in case. Came across them again. There is one sheet that covers 3/4 of the MISTI so I put that on the inside of lid. Keeps ink off the lid. There are two circle sizes that could be used for stamping around a circle and there are two that have wavy lines I could see being used to bend PP stamps and position them. Anyway, glad I didn't get rid of them.

Well I'm one of them. I ordered mine at 6:00 last night and had a tracking number already by 1:00 this morning. Now that's fast.
