Do these all have to come from the US or is there a Canadian source. Would love to get this but exchange and shipping put it out of sight. Someone in these comments mentioned $50 as the price, but after watching Jennifer McGuire's new video today, I went to SSS and saw a price of $69.99. What is the current price?

Are you is the US or Canada?

If you are in Canada do you know anyone on the US border where it could be shipped.

I ordered it through Iliana and it was $50 before shipping which was $10 ( I think) I am in the US

Not sure why SSS is charging nearly $20 more

The price of $50 is through the lady that invented the MISTI, Iliana at My Sweet Petunia. There were some available through SSS (limited availability) but the price is higher than buying directly from Iliana.

As far as I've heard those are the only two sources to get the MISTI.

Order from Iliana and the price is $50.00 + shipping. SSS is selling them for $69.99 . Per a post on Iliana's Facebook page SSS is paying $50.00 for them. There is no Canadian source.

She just packed the last of this batch last night, #3174. I ordered mine yesterday and my number is #3766. I think she gets them from the manufacturer in batches of 500 but how often I'm not sure. Anyone know?
I told my hubby he won't need to shop for my birthday gift next month. I already took care of that for him...so sweet of me, yes?

In hindsight, I wish I had spent some of my Christmas money on a MISTI. I knew at the time that I wanted one, but there was a 6-week backlog at the beginning of January. My biggest fear was that Iliana would increase the price before I ordered one (and I wouldn't even blame her, lol!)

Now, she's totally caught up, and our Canadian dollar has plummeted almost $0.10 since then. That puts a MISTI at $78 for me, that's with shipping to the U.S. and popping across the border to pick up, which I am fortunate I can do. I would still order it now if I could, but the Christmas money from my in-laws only went so far after hubby confiscated half of it to pay bills! I say that in jest, I've been off work for over a year now and he is still sane while managing with only half our income. He took me to Michaels the other day so I could buy some much needed card blanks, since I don't have a score board and my measuring ability sucks rocks, lol! He is my saving grace. <3

And they say our dollar is going to continue to drop, ayayay. We're only a penny away from a 10-year low.

So the lesson learned? Why buy tomorrow what you can buy today?! Just kidding folks, but I believe something can be expensive AND totally worth the money. It's all in the eyes of the beholder. Now go order your MISTI!

Learned about this at YT yesterday. Not a great stamper, I have the blocks, and the Fiskars (which I thought was too wobbly, and never got used much) I want one of these so bad, it looks like it would solve some of the problems with stamping. Now if my monthly budget would just hurry and roll over I could order one..... Yay!

MISTI arrived in The Netherlands. Oh my, do I love it!
At last I can use my large background stamps without failures.
Thank you all for your great reviews and links.

Just wanted you all to know MISTI is making stamping fun again. I actually sent out about 20 valentines stamping on a diecut on textured paper and it worked beautifully. (I never send out valentines) If at all possible, get one you won't regret it.

Stamping on watercolor paper ROCKS - I always dreaded that before - now you just keep stamping until you have full coverage!

When you order from her website there is a box where you can enter a coupon code. I wondered if when you receive your order she might include a discount on future purchases. Has anyone received or used a coupon code?

She just posted on Facebook that the last box "for tonight" was order #3300. She will resume packing boxes tomorrow afternoon . Her site says 1-2 week delay on shipping .

It appears she is getting caught up
Mine is order # 3402 so maybe mine will be in this shipment

This was so clever of her to let us know which orders she is packing so everyone knows where she is in the backorder que

And We are having a lot of fun keeping track of order numbers shipped while we wait for ours

It's on your invoice you received when you placed your order. Email would be from My Sweet Petunia

It is the order number you got with your confirmation that your order was placed .

When I first heard about the MISTI, I didn't think that I really needed another tool - and then I started reading this thread and watched videos on You-Tube but still thought I wouldn't get it. Then, a few weeks ago, I was trying to make a card and stamped my image and put the matching solid die over it to try and diecut it - and do you think I could line up that die right where I wanted???? Uggh - about 15 tries later - and trying to do it differently by diecutting first, then stamping the image - it just didn't work & I gave up completely cheesed off with all that wasted time and cardstock & having nothing to show for it

Then I watched a video of how to use a MISTI to get your images perfectly lined up on your diecuts - and that alone "sold me" on wanting to get this tool and I ordered one a few days ago. Of course, I realise you can do much more than that with your MISTI: it is just such a brilliant invention and I am so excited and can't wait for it to arrive

I've spent several days reading the 19 pages of this thread. I was so excited when the thread started discussing using TackNPeel on the MISTI. Unless I missed it there was never any answer as to if this would be something that would work or not. Due to the way I unmounted my stamps SO many of my stamps are now used with TackNPeel-covered blocks. I am really trying to get my head around whether this tool would work for me, like I currently stamp, or if I would need to go to some other method like gluing each of the backs of the stamps. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this and any suggestions you might have.

I just run a small amount of tape runner on back of the rubber. I don't bother with "tac it all over" any longer. Your MISTI isn't harmed at all, the tape just rolls off. I've tons of unmounted stamps, just takes a tiny bit of tape on the rubber. Hope this helps.

I did the tape runner on the back of some stamps, and cleaning it off the MISTI was a huge PITA, imho. My next plan is to try putting a full sheet on the TackNPeel on the MISTI when I'm working with my bare rubber. If it works, I may take everything down to bare rubber and pretty much leave the TackNPeel sheet on the MISTI. We'll see. The distortion of looking through it may or may not be an issue.

Another discovery. I just received the eClips cutting mats, recommended by someone in this fantastic thread and

1) they're a bit tricky to cut (patience, a craft knife, a metal ruler and masking tape to keep everything in place was what worked best for me.)

2) I think you can cut them into at least four pieces each to use. I don't think you'd need to have the mat cover the entire MISTI base, just enough to get it good and snug in the corner and be fully under the object that you're wanting to stamp.

Quilt template sheets arrived today, too. Getting ready to create the templates for stamping around circles. and still have sheets left over. Gonna be a busy, happy place for a while around here ...

PLEASE let us know your results. I am so looking forward to finding what your opinion of how the TackNPeel works on the Misti. In an ideal world you could have one with TackNPeel and one without, but I am on the fence about purchasing one of these tools, so I don't see that happening anytime soon.....Notice I didn't say never!

Well, I'll be darned. The MISTI comes with a skin. I think it was meant to cover the grid pattern on the door of the tool (earlier ones were etched on but now it's printed on). I'm not seeing that I'm going to be too rough with the top/outside of the MISTI, so I just tried putting the skin on the inside of the door to see if it grabs my unsticky unmounted stamps (not bare rubber, so don't know yet about that) and guess what? it does a great job!

Oh Barb, I don't know where in this thread it is, so can't give props to the poster, but I sure put the video on my speed dial!

(there are links to the right of this video, Cyndie's Templates (parts one and two) that tell you more.)
