Mike's Cuttlebug update as of 04/14/07
 

When to Mike's in Algonquin IL - to look for the clear stamps but what I found was something better. They had recv'd many many Cuttlebug embossing folders, and 2 die packs.. They are new arrivals not the same ol' stuff we've been seening on the shelves. I didn't find any clear stamps but I did buy some dies and folders before they disappear.

If you want 'em, get 'em now! I waited on a couple, and my Mike's sold out. :-( So I had to order them online. LOL

I am in Southern Indiana...my Mikes doesn't have any of the new stuff for the cuttlebug and neither does Joann's !!! My LSS has in order into PROVO craft, but the order was supposed to be here this week and it has not showed up. the owner called Provo Craft several times...and they still haven't shipped. She is looking into ordering from elsewhere. She made the comment that she has never had good luck with customer service or with orders from Provo craft...this is a shame.

I popped into M's last night, and they didn't have any of the new stuff, but there was a whole empty aisle and all the punches had been moved to a different aisle - it looks like they're resetting, so I'm hoping!

My M's has moved a lot of stuff around and gotten some new things. Their CB selection was better yesterday than before but still not that great. I did manage to find some more of the $1 acrylic stamps. My Joann's doesn't have CB or the $1 stamps. I may have to plan a road trip!

I was our LSS and the owner said that she doesn't carry any Provo Craft because their customer service is so bad to the retailers.

I've been in a couple of Michaels over the past several days. They all seem to be redoing their whole scrapbooking/stamping sections -- to start putting in the Martha Stewart stuff. I did find new stuff in all three Michaels I visited. Still looking for Traffic Jam folder though. They all have a label for it, but they're empty. I'll keep looking. May have to wind up ordering on-line.

I was at our Michael's on Friday - they had a bunch of new 2 x 2 dies and A2 embossing folders. I got Traffic Jam and Bloom dots. They are resetting everything and alot of empty spaces, not even tags to say what is coming.

Noticed on their coupon this week in fine print - coupon can't be used for Cricut (which it has been saying) and can't be used on Martha Stewart line either! Guess I will have to REALLY want/need something in that line.

I was at mine in Bridgewater, NJ on Saturday night to exchange a duplicate folder I had. They tease. There are a few things on the endcap as before. When I went to check out, the very nice clear told me that the sizzix would be 60% off on Sunday. When I went to look for the sizzix I found the motherlode of Cuttlebug!

Lots of new ones to choose from.

As with other stores, mine is moving many of the items around and at least two empty aisles.

I haven't seen anything new at Michael's the last time I was there but a new trip may be in order....

I wonder if they'd let a person use a competitor's coupon on the MS stuff? Like Hobby Lobby or Joann's?

There is a brand new Micheal's opening by me on April 26th!!! I can't wait!! (and I think my check book/credit card will be in real trouble....)

I bought a Cuttlebug at my Michael's in Houston this afternoon...with the 40%coupon! The whole store is in upheaval...rearranging everything and actually restocking for the first time in quite a while! The clerk said they're having to redo everything for the MS line, then redo again for the actual STORE redo in June! Then I went to Joanne's and their Cuttlebug accessories are 30% off. What a haul!

Which one? I shop at the one on Westheimer sometimes and just moved next to the one in Pearland! Pearland doesn't have the new stuff out yet.

Yea! I found Traffic Jam today. I had bought a stamp which will go sooo well with it and wanted to make a card using both of them. Now, I'm off to create!

Yes, mrslaird, it was the Westheimer store at Dairy Ashford. It didn't have much and they were really torn up, but there were some. In fact, this was the first time I've ever seen any!

I sure wish that ONE of the 5 Michaels in this area would finish their reset and get the new CB stuff out! I've been stalking them for two weeks and nada! They haven't even moved the CB stuff so I'm wondering if we're getting the new stuff or not? It's still on the same ole end display with no new pegs or anything.

I hit Michaels and Joanns for cb stuff. I bought the traffic jam folder, but haven't used it yet. I also bought some of the small embossing folders, haven't used those yet either. I bought some sizzix dies too. My credit card has been out of my wallet too many times this week!

Woohoo! One of the M's in my area has the new stuff out! They did not want to let me use coupons on any of it all of a sudden, though. They used the "it's made by the same manufacturer as Cricut" excuse.

Cathy, Speak up nicely and firmly and don't let them get away with that.

If they scan the coupon, they will see that it works on the Cuttlebug stuff. It won't scan for the Cricut things.

I still get sales clerks reading the coupon -- I think they WANT them to say we can't use them on CB stuff, and hope they'll find a coupon that says it!

I stood my ground and they ended up letting me use coupons - but I was in the checkout for 15 minutes while they called every manager in the store! The clerk ended up saying " we'll have to talk about this further" and let me go through - ugh! Why do they make it so difficult?

Cricut vs Provocraft
 

If Micheal's wants to get technical then the coupon should say Provocraft Items. The cuttlebug is CLEARLY not the CRICUT!!! Provocraft has other items such as the silent setter which I am sure they would not blink an eye to let you use it on that item.

If they scan the coupon and it works, DUH, then it can be used!
