Default A question about cuttlebug and quickutz?

Can you use these dies with your sizzix cutter. In other words I have the sizzix sidekick and the regular sizzix cutter and wonder if I can use cuttlebug dies and quickutx dies? Any imput will be appreciated!
Thanks
~Cynthia~

Default cuttlebug and Quickutz

Hi,
I have used the quickutz dies in the cuttlebug, but I think I probably need to 'tweek' what I am doing, if I can figure out what that is!!!!!!!. Basically, when I run the cardstock through, it sticks to the quickutz die. I use the sharp edge of an extacto knife and 'pop' the piece of cardstock out of the die. I can't seem to get it to work by playing around with mousepads or different plates. So I just do this and it does work. Kind of a pain, but there were a few quickutz dies that I really liked, so I put up with this extra step.

If you have the magnetic converter for the original Sizzix machine, you can use the Cuttlebug dies with it just ike you would use one of the thin Sizzlits dies.

You *should* be able to use the QuicKutz dies, too, but I've never tried them. It's my understanding you have to apply the ejector foam to the QK dies for them to work well.

Hi Cynthia, yes you can use QuicKutz dies - I use mine in my Sidekick machine. You will need a black Sizzix adapter pad to use them successfully. You place the black pad on the clear cutting pad, then the QK die foam side up, then your paper or card, then the second clear pad and roll through your Sidekick.

I believe the black adapter pads come in packs of 10 but I bought from an eBay seller who was selling them in sets of 2.

I also use my Cuttlebug dies in my Sidekick - these work exactly the same way as the Sizzlits dies. Clear pad, CB die foam side up, paper or card and then second clear pad and roll through.
