I need suggestions. I have bottles of ink that are for refills. Only thing is I did not have the original ink pad. Does anyone have suggestions for how I can use this ink? I have looked for "unused ink pads" without luck. :confused:

There are many ideas for using inks straight from the bottle one of my favorites is stained glass technique. Go to resources and look through the techniques you'll find many that use inks.
Well, I found a product but it won't let me post the website since I am a newbie here. I'll go around and post a few times and come back....
Also, I use my re-inker to tint white paint (no more buying 800 different colors! and I can get a custom match every time).
Use it in a waterbrush and paint with it.
Use it in techniques like shaving cream background & texture paper.
I've only recently begun to really appreciate re-inkers. Have fun experimenting.
I use refills for watercoloring. I have those little cheap-o plastic palettes with the wells from the art department of my craft store. I just keep a drop or two in each well and label what color it is with a Sharpie.

Hi Cherry314! I found a store online a few weeks ago that sells blank (un-inked) small ink pads. They are just like the 'spots' that SU sells except these have no ink on them - so you could make your own spots using these with your re-inkers.
I'm at work and don't have the name of the company with me. When I get home this afternoon I will post another reply on this thread with the information.
The site that Calgramma posted is the one I was referring to - Welburn Gourd Farms. On their home page on the left is a list of most popular products. The first one listed is ink dye applicator cube- WOW! I'm glad SU just calls them spots! LOL! Anyway - I think these would be great for what you need. Hope this helps.
You can use Ranger Cut n Dry foam to make custom pads, too. There's a tutorial by "dirty girl" Dawn Lusk on how to do it, {here}
Any technique that calls for reinkers is one you can use with what you have in your hand - there are several in the resources section here at SCS. One of my favourite things to do is to make my own 'glimmer mist' - some ink, a little water and a teeny tiny scoop of Perfect Pearls in a Mini Mister. Playing with different colour combos is fun! I did {this card} with a couple of different ones.

GMTA--I just got through ordering some cut-n-dry before I came on the forum. I am so tickled. Thanks for the tip on the tutorial. I'm gonna go check it out.

I know we are past Christmas, but there were quite a few examples of bulbs being colored with reinkers...A few drops of ink and a spoonful of fine glitter inside a clear glass bulb and you have a beautifully glittered ornament.

You can paint with the reinkers. That is what I use almost exclusively to paint all my images.
I buy the uninked cubes from Wellbourne Farms to make my own in-color spots because I prefer that size. But you can get regular size uninked pads from many sources. Do a google search for "uninked stamp pads" and you will get lots of hits.
