I have a sizzix and am getting a big kick for Christmas. The bug is much smaller. What do you want to do with it. I am pretty sure you can use the dies interchangeable, but if space is an issue the cb seems to be the way to go. I stuck with the sizzix because I have a lot of stuff already and my dh takes it to cub scouts and the bigger the better with the kids! I really wanted some of the dies that only work in the big kick so I went with that, my sister is giving it to me for Christmas.

Sizzix. I love my Big Kick. There are dies called Bigz that I think are too large for the Cuttlebug. I love that the Big Kick takes pretty much anything you can throw at it - embossing folders, brass templates, texture plates (fiskars and sizzix ones), cuttlebug dies, sizzix dies, quickutz, etc. I also like that it's sturdy. I've not used a Cuttlebug, but it doesn't look as sturdy as the Sizzix.

I vote for Sizzix. It's so easy to use. I like the idea of being able to use competitors dies (I have yet to do that). FYI-Sizzix online offers discounts on their products too-- you just have to sign up.

Default Another vote for Sizzix

I have the Big Kick and I love it. It is so sturdy compared to the Cuttlebug and is compatible with all the dies out there. Just make sure to get the Starter Kit with the multipurpose platform and you are good to go.

The Cuttlebug will accept all dies. I haven't run into any that won't work. I use lots of Sizzix dies, Cuttlebug dies, all the embossing folders, and Nestabilities.

Cuttlebug is small and easy to store and carry. It's also the least expensive of the die machines. Big Kick/Big Shot are great machines, too. Bigger, heavier, more expensive. Wizard is the most expensive of the small die machines.

All good machines. Just depends on how much you want to spend and how much room you want to dedicate. I've used my Bug heavily over the last year, and it's still going strong. If it does break, I'll buy another one! For the price, it's the best machine for me.
