What is so great about them -- I love the regular dies. How are the creatables different?

Each manufacturer has a different take on design. I have Spellbinders, Cheery Lynn, Memory Box, My Favorite Things, and Marianne Creatables...and I love them all. What are "regular" dies? Spellbinders? They excel in the solid "labels", but the other manufacturers excel in the lacy fine line cuts. Those do make for a challenge in adhering them to paper. (I generally paint on a gel medium to the back.)
