Not sure if this topic has been discussed already or not. I am just a little puzzled at the price of the two new oval punches. SAME price for two different size oval punches?! The small one is 13.95 just like the large oval. Do any of you find this odd?

it's a very similar size - the one is just a little bit smaller to mat it. It's not like it takes that much less metal really to make the smaller one - I got both and LOVE them - if you bought the hodgepodge hardware, it helps you use those oval pieces so much easier. Also - that new holiday set in the mini that has script fits perfectly inside the ovals.
You are bad girls!!! You're forcing me into getting those two oval punches. I'm trying really hard to be good and not get them but you aren't helping :>) Have a good Wednesday.
What do you mean by the expression, "to mat it"? LM :-)

I bet this is a really stupid question, but I'm wondering how everyone "locks the punched paper" into the hardware? I tied the hardware on my card with ribbon, but the paper doesn't stay in the hardware. Then I glued the paper down and tie the hardware on over top of it and that looks silly...
Any suggestions are appreciated...:-D

Roll up 2 mini glue dots and place them in the inside ledge of the hardware. Make sufre they do not stick out and show under the hardware. Then place oval inside hardware - voila!

Nope, don't think it's strange -- while the punchouts are different sizes, the actual body of the punch is the same. I'm pretty sure that's what they use when pricing.

I bought the large one, not thinkin' I would "need" both of them, now I really want the smaller one, for matting purposes. I think the two go hand in hand..
I am the OP... I don't mean the pricing itself, but the two different sizes are the same price. No biggie. I realize the 2 are good for matting each other. Guess I'll get the smaller one too. THanks for your input

Hi Wendy,
Even though the punched pieces are diffferent sizes, the "housing" if you will, on both punches is the same size and this is why they are the same price.
