Anyone have the CM 12" paper cutter (straight)??? Thoughts??? I don't scrapbook much, but my neice is having a CM workshop. Must spend some money and was thinking about this. I have the personal trimmer from them and I love it!!!
I have it too. I love it but it takes time to get used to (at least it did for me). The blades dull just as quickly as others. I don't know if it's worth the money but I do like mine!
I have both of there 12" cutters and like them. Actually I have all of there cutting tool ( minus the punches ) and love them all. Especially the corner rounder if for nothing else then because it has a little container built in that catches the paper debris, I LOVE THAT.
Anyways I don't care for their "style" but tools are great IMO.

I have the entire cutting system - 12 inch, circles, ovals, luv them all. But I usually only use the 12 inch when scrappin. It's not so handy for cards and smaller stuff.
I had to get use to cutting on it, I also have a 12" rotary cutter and was so use to that. But I can say that it is so worth it. It cuts an 1/8 inch perfect! Also I like the triangle feature on it as I can make my own tags any size I want and have perfectly cut off corners. I just don't use it all the time as it does dull fast. And I don't use it for my smaller stuff...I use my personal trimmer for everything I can.
Thanks for all the replies ... I am soooo frustrated with my Fiskars and 12" Carl with not cutting straight. I just wanted to make sure I buy something at her workshop, but didn't want scrapbook stuff. I can actually use this cutter for cards and that it cuts straight is a bonus!!! I will just be sure to stock up on replacement blades.
Maybe I am too late (have been on a week end trip) but will chime in here. I bought the mat, blades and guide (for straight and curved edges). Same reason - this was a fund raising workshop. Soon after I got it the mat warped - am not sure just how. As a result, the guide does not fit completely flush to the edge, and it is so easy to get crooked edges. But I have had no trouble with dull blades.
