Did you get the zippered case? If so I'd like your take. It's quite nice, but mine is airing out outside of the room with something propped in it to keep it open. The smell is new neoprene with "eau de adhesive" mixed in, at least to my nose.

I only stamp at home too, except for classes at LSS's. We've never had to bring a hinged stamping device to classes, but I need to be prepared for the 1 in 500 chance we will.
Mine shipped on the 12th with an expected arrival of yesterday, but that didn't happen and now the new notice says they don't know when it will be delivered. Bummer!
I got a notice from Stamplistic on Monday that they would have them so I ordered one and it was delivered on Thursday.........I have a terrible cold so it's still in the box.....heavy sigh!
So did mine. I'm still skeptical that I'ml receive it. I expect to get a recall notice! LOL
They will get mine back only when they can pry it out of my cold, dead hands! Haha!
Mine was supposed to be here yesterday but the USPS somehow managed to send it to a post office 15 miles away. I just checked the tracking and it is supposed to be here TODAY!!!!
Why is when we order something we really, REALLY want, the delivery company finds a way to delay arrival - yet our bills always seem to show up on time?
LOL Love this! Mine should be here any minute LOL. I am sitting here watching out the window for my favorite ever mailman...Jim He's so wonderful.

Feel better! I hear that lifting the platform 10 times improves congestion.
OK...Well...I am bummed. :/
I will call Tonic first thing Monday morning to send a replacement :(
There is a spot that will not stamp.
I have tried many stamps, inks, moving it to different desks, tables etc. and it always misses in the exact same spot.
I tried the same stamps, inks and places with my other one and it is fine.
I WANT this Tonic one! LOL
When I opened it and saw and felt it, I was thinking I would likely never use that other one again and would probably sell it.
I will keep you posted. I took photos and sized them to 140kb well below max in jpeg but they fail to post? I used paint to resize.
Oh no! You don't have a magnet by that spot by any chance, do you? Are the original photos too large? And did you try to post just one at a time? If you want you can email me one and I'll try.
Hi, I opened the pics in paint and resized...that is how I get them the right size for Yahoo Groups. SCS allows a certain size and I took it way below that so I'm not sure of the problem. I've never had difficulty before. It has to be something with my computer. I would love to send you the pics. I will do that later.
I moved the magnets around a lot...used different sizes of paper and different thicknesses, different finishes etc. It is always in that same spot.
Then I put the *other* press in the exact spots I used the Tonic and tried all the same stamps, inks etc and they all came out fine.
IOW...I definitely got a defective one. I hope I am the only one of course.
I will post after I talk to them.
Thank you for helping!

Aww...thanks. It was just a quick card for a little 3 yr old boy's birthday coming up. I really just wanted to see how the TH tool performed along with the Hammermill paper I just bought. It's not colored perfectly, rather hastily really, but it's cute enough for a 3 yr old!
Here are my first thoughts:
I love how sturdy the TH lid is. It's very easy to open and close since it has a handle of sorts. It is very easy to take out and turn over for when you go from acrylic to cling stamps.
I like the smooth base, not having to use an inner foam mouse pad thing. I can see that it will be good for stamping on 12x12 paper, though I haven't tried it yet. I never stamped on my scrapbook pages just because I was so afraid I would mess up the stamping and that would just kill me after all the effort I put into the layout!! Anyone feel that way too? The greatest thing is since it's open on two sides it "feels" less confining even if you don't use it for 12x12 paper...does that make sense?
The magnets are easy to use even without a tape "handle".
The rulers don't meet in the corner but it is really of no consequence whatsoever...at least for me anyway.
Now I have two sizes of the MISTI, the original and the small one, love them both, as well as I have the corner set. I will still use them, especially the smaller one since it's so easy to pack for crops and such. But now I have an additional tool in my arsenal and will for sure be using it for my scrapbooks!
OK, my 2 cents fwiw
klh54 I agree about the less confining feeling. I don't use 12X12 but I still like the idea that it's open.
The adjustment for me has been with being left handed. I have always used my Misti upside down with my corner of choice being the lower right. That can't work with the TH because that would put the hinge toward me. Now I place my card in the lower left. Just a brain thing but it feels a little awkward. I still use my mini misti a lot too so it's a good brain stretching exercise.
Sherri, I got your photos and see the spot - but can't post them. For some reason they didn't come over as attachments, just very small embedded photos. I can vouch for you though! : )
Well, Beth was right........lifting the platform 10 times inspired me to give my platform a try.........I am in love! It is so sturdy and just flipping the top to change from clear to cling mount stamps is genius. I just did a simple quote for inside a couple cards but I didn't get a clear stamp one time and being able to restamp perfectly is amazing. I hate to admit it, but I have had a Misti for a few months and was intimidated and have never tried it. I think there will be room for both products in my arsenal but I think I already know which will be my favorite. If you're on the fence with this product.........get it.......it's wonderful.

Yeah, I can see the special challenges for lefties...how about using the upper left corner on the TH platform?
Weirdly, while I'm right-handed, I had to do a kind of re-orientation too. (I have the UK version.) It's fine for "normal" stamping, but when stamping something repeatedly while and the card further and further down - like with various stripe stamps - the first time I did it I creased the CS since I went over the guide.
It has to do with where I tend to put my inks and stamps too, and have fooled around with moving things a bit. Funny, habits.
Hi Beth
Thank you so much for trying! I can't figure this one out lol. I have posted a lot of pics to all my other boards, forums etc and they all work LOL
Thank you for letting people know that there really is a problem
I have talked to Tonic and I am waiting for a call back from the person who will help me with the return. Seems I will have to wait in line after all the recent orders.....I don't think it really fair...but in the scheme of life, no big deal right? Whaaaa though! LOLOL

They actually mailed out a new platform yesterday. I have always liked Tonic products, but now I love them LOL They have a loyal customer forever here .
So...they sent out the replacement right after we got off the phone...before I even received the mailing label to send mine back. Super cool.
Just wanted everyone to know that my replacement one is on the way and I get to be excited once again about my platform getting here! LOLOL
Thanks for all the words of encouragement, it goes a long way.
