Default Sizzix Big Shot Pro Dies?

Hi-

I am wanting to purchase a few sizzix bigz PRO dies to use with my Accucut machine..are the dies compatible with this system? I have a 12inch metal bed that the dies sit in so I know the sizzix will work, but my dies are wooden..not sure of the thickness of the sizzix pro dies.

Thanks! JC

I use Ellison dies, which are also wood-backed, in my BSP. Perhaps you could go to Ellison.com and see if their dies look like the Accucut dies.

I have the AccuCut Mark IV and the GrandeMark. The 12x12 dies wont work in the Mark IV, but the other dies like the Bigz and Bigz XL as well as the originals, etc., will work in the Mark IV. You will need the Sizzix Adapter (platform) made for use in the AccuCut machines. If you have a tray that is wide enough to hold the Big Shot Pro 12x12 dies, then I would guess that you are referring to the GrandeMark. I tried cutting one of the Movers and Shapers dies in my grand mark using the platform and my cutting mats, ( I'm sure the plastic mats will work as well) and the cut was not all the way thru. I then tried using all of the items mentioned along with a shim(1) and the cut was a bit better; therefore I would suggest using shims( how ever many it may take to get the proper thickness or sandwich) and you should be good to go. There's a video on Youtube that shows you how to use the dies in the AccuCut. You can find the info under .....

Sizzix Bigz Pro Dies with the AccuCut GrandeMARK

Enjoy!!
