Default paper start up set?

I just purchased a cricut expression machine and need some start up cardstock ...
can anyone recommend a brand? I wish someone had a cricut start up paper pack so i could get going immediately.. i have never used a die cutting machine so have no clue what kind of paper to buy, what colors, what brand, etc.

your help would be appreciated!

I have good luck with all card stocks go to Above Rubies Studio for a free cutting guide for all types of card stock & other materials. I do not have good luck with real flimsy paper, but vellum cuts fine. Look at your carts & decide what colors you want to use. Then go from there! Most of all have fun!!

Also, remember that it will cut any cardstock, DP, etc. You may have to play with the blade depth a bit, but you don't have to just use their paper.

I would get a multi colour pack of the Recollection's stuff from Michael's to play with at first, its not too expensive, and although its thinner than SU and some of the other brands, it works fine for layering
