Default SCOR-TAPE ANYONE USE IT? OPINIONS

Hello, just wondering if anyone has used the scor tape and what do you think? How does it hold up over time? Have you used the red line tapes in comparison?

I use it (red line tape) mostly for securing bookmarks in composition notebooks and have never had a problem. But, I see that the scor tape is much cheaper for more product.

Is this one of those times: you get what you pay for? Or is the scor tape a good investment?

Thanks so much for your time!

I've been using the red-line tape and I love it. I just last week bought some Scor-Tape. I don't know yet how it compares and how it holds up. I would be interested in other's opinions.

Scor-Tape has Zero static where the redline tape liner sticks to everything. Scor-Tape holds up well over time- I have never had a layer come off- some of my cards are over 5 years old. Scor-Tape will tear easy with only your fingers where RedLine you need Sizzors. Scor-Tape comes in 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1", 11/2, and I think 1 or 2 larger widths along with 5X5 inch sheets. These are all the reasons why I Love Scor-Tape over Redline- I'm sure others will have different reasons.

The only thing I use now is scor-tape. In fact I forget I even have the red-line tape. The ease of use and it's durability is what I like the most. No more scissors. Yeah!

I've never used the Scor-Tape, only because I have a slew of tearable tape I bought at Tuesday Morning last summer.. but I see that Beate Johns uses it on all her projects, so when my stash runs out, I'll be ordering some myself. I only hear good things about it.

I bought some Score Tape and liked it a lot. Then I discovered this Miracle Tape from Viva Las Vegas Stamps. It is really just as good as the Score Tape, and quite a bit cheaper.

You can get a roll of 1/4" x 55 yards for only $5.49. It comes in other sizes, but I get the most use from the 1/4".

I just used 1/8" Score tape to make a pocket on 125 wedding invitations. It worked great and it was very handy to be able to tear it rather than have to use scissors. I found the paper much easier to get off than the plastic from red liner tape. I was very pleased with it.

Oh, I just LOVE my Scor-Tape! I bought some in January when I bought my ScorPal, and I'm still using it! Granted, I don't use it to adhere my cs layers (I prefer my tape runner - much quicker), but it's PERFECT for when you really need to hold something down, i.e., flaps on boxes, flaps for gift cards, and it's invisible so it's perfect to keep bows in place. I also use it to keep deeply embossed panels in place. I have 1/8" and 1/4". That it tears is terrific, too. And the paper liner doesn't stick to everything in sight, either. Wish I could say that about the paper backing to my pop dots!!

7 Kids College Fund carries it and I think their prices are about the best! Scor-Tape is really made by Sookwang, so if you see that, it's the same thing.

Try a roll.....you'll be glad you did!!

Blessings,
Kat

Scot Tape rocks!

It has no profile, so you can't feel it under layers of paper, and doesn't show under ribbon.
You can rip it if you need, unlike the red liner tape.

I would say it's equal in holding power- the stuff is my go to for anything altered!

THANKS everyone for your posts. I am definately going to get Scor Tape when I finish this last roll of redline tape.

I appreciate you all taking the time to leave your comments. It is so helpful to be able to ask a question and get such quick responses. I always try to do a search before I ask a question, but oh my gosh - it can boggle the mind with the crazy threads the search engine pulls up. Usually threads that have nothing to do with your question. So thank you very much for your time.

Gina K uses Scor-Tape in almost all of her projects and videos on StampTV.

Another vote for Miracle Tape from Viva Las Vegas. It is more economical that the red liner tape or ScorTape. I bought a roll of ScorTape because of all the positive comments but HATED IT!!! JMHO - I am probably 'swimming upstream' since most people love ScorTape.

I use Miracle Tape on all my projects that I need extra hold - boxes, special folds, etc.

I love Scor Tape! My red liner tape is sitting there. Hate using scissors, then wrestling to get the red liner off, then it is bumpy under cardstock. I always have a back up roll of Scor tape.

I use Be Creative tape which is the exact same thing as Scor-tape, it's just marketed under a different (and cheaper) brand! I buy it from 7KidsCollegeFund, you can get it in 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 1.5, 2.5, 4.5, or 8.5x11 sheets - another store carries it in the 6" wide roll too, which I *REALLY* want to buy in the next couple months.

I LOVE my score tape. I actually have to place an order for the 1/8 and 1/4" since I use them so often.
