Default Look at this great use for Perfect Layers!

I was disappointed to find you need to use a knife for the perfect layers because while I have quite the time getting my card layered *just* right, I have an even more difficult time with an exacto knife. Those things scare me LOL!

Anyway this is the tutorial that made me want the perfect layers -it is a great use if you have thin long clear stamps you want to align just right:

That's a really cool idea! Never woulda thought of that! TFS!

Did you know that you can use a rotary knife (the kind that quilters) use with your Perfect Layers? I do it all the time! A much safer alternative to the X-Acto knife and the very same results. HTH

EXCELLENT idea! Did ya'll hear the <thunk> as I smacked my forehead, lol?

Suzy, if you have a large grocery store or Walmart or something, look in the fabric section. A rotary cutter originated as a quilter's cutting tool. Basically it's like a pizza cutter. The blade is round, SHARP, and easy to use. You just roll it along the paper as if you were cutting a slice of pizza. The difference here is that you use the straight edge to keep the cut straight in a way that really doesn't matter (to most people anyway!) when you're cutting pizza....

Wow. I kept slicing the actual ruler with my exacto knife, so maybe the rotary cutter will be my ticket to success with perfect layers.

Since I came to stamping from a quilting background ( 20 years) I always use a rotary cutter to cut my paper - I have a tabletop big paper cutter but I end up using my rotary cutter and an acrylic ruler for almost all my cutting. I have a self healing mat on my stamping table so I'm always set up and ready to cut --
