Question Unmounted Rubber Stamps???

I am not familiar with working with unmounted stamps. All of mine are on the wood blocks like SU!. How do you work with rubber stamps that do not have any type of foam adhesive back on them? I am not refering to clear stamps. Thanks!

You can use plain rubber a number of ways. You can buy something called EZ mount. You place the rubber on it cut around the image. You can now use this on an acrylic block. This saves lots of storage space. It also makes it easy to see exact placement when you stamp. I have unmounted all my stamps. I used EZ Mount thin on the SU stamps that I unmounted. I left the gray cushion on the stamp and mounted the thin EZ mount. I also took some of the stamps all the way down to bare rubber and painted the back of them with something called Aleen's Tack it Over and Over. You can thin out this glue with water a bit then paint it on the back of the rubber stamp. Let it dry and you can now use it on the acrylic blocks. When it loses it's tackiness just repaint it with the Tack it Over and Over. I have emptied 36+ Steralite drawers and have my stamps stored in CD cases. I am over 300 cd's at the point. I do not regret unmounted at all but it was a lot of work.

Default if you want to keep them unmounted...

It won't let me link, but google EZ Mount which is what I'm using this with great results on my acrylic blocks, I bought this at a rubber stamp show.

If you want to mount them on wood blocks you can buy the cushion here (google double sided stamp mounting cushion)(sorry can't link) google again!
google and yahoo are wonderful tools!

I learned that as a newbie I'm not allowed to link! I don't work for anyone I just like my ez mount!

I'm sure there are other resources, I just bought my ez mount and can speak to that (sticky scissors and fingers from cutting is my only complaint!)
I don't know why but I was afraid of the cling stamps, now I LOVE them and will be sharing my ez mount news with anyone who rubber stamps.
