Default CD Cases..for those storing unmounted?

Hi-

I just stuck my stamps onto EZ mount and learned yesterday how to stamp on the cling side so you can see the image..REALLY COOL! Now my question is in regards to storage. I went out and bought a 10 pack of CD cases from Kmart and I took the CD thing out of the middle of the plastic case, but now I have a "hole" at the top. Am I doing something wrong here? Will the stamps fall out? How do you seal up the hole? Any pictures would be GREATLY appreciated.

Do some of you just leave the CD thing/plastic case in there? I DO really like the stamp storage in the CD cases..now on a mission to brake out the EZ mount and get a bunch of stamps mounted and organized! Wish me luck!

You need to pop out that center piece and also press down on the half moons on the edge of the cover and pop those out. Cheapest non-slim jewel cases I have found are at Kmart. They are 1/2 the price of the Walmart ones.

yes, there will be a small gap. You can cover it up by taping a piece of cardstock to the top lid, or stamping your index and sliding that in there. Check KimberlyinMN gallery to see more about that.

I dont cover the gap, and have never lost a stamp. I am a little careful not to put any stamps along the ridge though.

I don't cover the gap, either. But I don't have too many and have them in a stack, not standing on edge.

I store my CD cases in IKEA CD file boxes with the "gap" end up. I use that space for the label, on which I write the name of the set, the number of stamps in the set, the copyright year and the company.

I have seen the instructions on how to go about stamping the ez mount foam but I was curious is there a way to transfer and image after you have already ez mounted them? I don't want to remount 40 sets of stamps. I have heard that you can stamp plastic bags and such and 'rub' onto another surface, but I don't honestly know if this is possible with stazon and regular black ink wouldn't likely stay put. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
