$3 Walmart frames?
For over a year now I've been buying the 5x12 frames from Walmart to do the name frames. They come with a mat in them for two 4x6 pictures. Well I haven't been able to find them lately and now it looks like they've revamped the whole frame section and there isn't even a spot for them. Is anyone else finding this? Does anyone know of an alternate place to get them? They make such great gifts and I'm just disgusted to think I won't be able to find them anymore.
I know!! I bought them there too, and noticed they were on clearance the other day for $2, should have bought then and got the hint at that point!! I went to get one the other day and noticed the revamping too and I live in Indiana. I was upset too. I'd like to know if there are other places as well.
They were on clearance for $2 at my Walmart yesterday too. I bought a couple of them but think I will probably go back for more tomorrow.

Oddly enough, I've been looking for them for over a year and yesterday was the first time I was able to find them! I bought one, and I hope they stay there- because I'd like to do more than one!
(Mine were $3, not on clearance/sale. And they were in a display in the middle of the aisle like they do cheap DVDs)
I guess I am off to my walmart after my DS gets home from school today. Just after Christmas I had bought 2 of the black frames and ALL of the ones that are like a redish color with the goldish trim. They are actually really nice looking. I had 2 and used them for gifts for Christmas. Right after that I went and bought whatever they had at the time. I think 7. I am going back to make sure I get my hands on any and all that they might have left. Probably none but worth the try. It's only 5 minutes away.
Mine are on a middle aisle too.. $3, no clearance. I imagine in time ALL the WMs will be revamped, so I guess I should think about stocking up a little more. Thanks for the head's up.
Let me know if you'd like me to ship you some before they end up disappearing at my WM too.

I have found them every once in a while at the dollar tree. They are usually the silver and gold types but they serve the same purpose. With the dollar tree it is always give or take though so like I said one time you will go and they will have them and then the next they will not. Good luck finding them! I might need to go check out my walmart today and see if I can find a few. Just in case!

Great- why is it everything I start to buy gets discontinued???? I have 3 left-a mahogony-color wood and 2 gold filagree ones. I already used the black one I had bought. I used to get real pretty wood oak frames at Walmart 2 for$5.00 and I loved the way they looked (and they had an easel on the back to stand them up where as the $3 ones don't) but they don't carry those anymore, either. Guess I'd better make a trip to Walmart this weekend to stock up- if they have any left!!

Well its offical, Brunswich GA walmart is out of them, I checked everywhere yestredat and they are gone, I have a few left but I will keep checking my $$ stores!

I just went to Walmart today and found the $2.00 frames. I got a few blond and a few gold frames and the Black/Brown ones. They also had some in the regular middle isle. I asked the stocker about them and she said they were clearencing out the old stock and will still have them. The black/brown ones were almost like to clearence black/brown ones only the backs were different, actually better. I thought I would let you all know so you don't panic! (I just hope she knows what she was talking about!) I bought all the $2.00 ones just in case! I figured I could spray paint them white if I need them. I still have a few left form the dollar store.

I REALLY hope she is right! But when I was in our Walmart (Upstate NY) on Thursday, they had started restocking the shelves compared to the last time I was there. The *kiosk* display that had always held the $3 frames was still there....and there were frames there.....but they were only 5x7 and 8x10. AND the new stickers that they placed on the shelves were only 5x7 and 8x10....no spot (or room) for 5x12 frames. :(
I did send an email to Walmart HQ the other day and just this evening I received a telephone call from a gal there. She was unable to answer my question, but was going to forward it on to the head of furniture and that person would get back to me. I'll let you know what I find out.
You know, I had written earlier that my Wal-Mart was out of them, and had been marked down to $2, well when I went back today, there they were, marked up to $3....how strange, I got some just in case. If anyone needs some, let me know, they had the black ones, and the brown with the goldish trim and I can go pick some more up.
They are clearenced at my Walmart in Illinois for $2.50. But just across the river in Indiana still $3.00. Hopefully they are just getting a new product number. I'd hate to think they are doing away with them!
I just got my from my WalMart that has never carried the frames before and they had them. I bought all the black ones. They didn't have any of the wood ones, though.
