Default how can i do this on my cricut

What I want to do is to be able to get some wall art made with vinyl.....but.... I want to make it for my mom. How can I cut it, yet keep it so I can just roll it up some how, and then give to her to put on her wall? Know what I mean? RIght now, I cut out the letters, peel the excess vinyl off, then put my contact paper over the letters, lift it off, then put on the wall. I don't know how to take it off of my mat to keep it all together, so it is transportable... gosh I hope this makes sense and someone can help me out.

thanks

Default kiss cut

Not sure this is what you mean but ....

When I cut vinyl on my cricut, I adjust the settings so that it doesn't cut through the backing, only the vinyl. This way the 12 x 12 sheet of vinyl stays intact and you can peel the whole thing off the cutting mat.

blade = 6
pressure = 2

my directions call it a "kiss cut"!

Hope this helps.

How about freezer paper? Place then on the gloss side and they should peel right off. I use it for my dressmaker patterns (iron it on the tissue) and it is easily removed if I need to get it off.

Provo sells the vinyl for the Cricut. Just follow the instructions on the package for cutting. Yes you can do it without cutting all the way through the backing paper. For adhering to your walls or other surfaces, it's best to use the transfer paper they sell with the vinyl too. Makes things lots easier.

You can purchase the vinyl and transfer paper in AC Moore, Michaels (not sure about JoAnns (the ones near me are the pits). I don't see that kind of stuff in the WalMart near me, but then again each store is different. You'll find the vinyl in the same section of the store as you find the Cricut cartridges and other products.

The vinyl comes in many different colors.
