Default want stamps like Long Time Friend

I am still lamenting that I didn't buy Long Time Friend when it was in a mini a couple of years ago. It was the prettiest set - had flowers and a tall watering can with the sentiment "It takes a long time to grow an old friend".
It was a beautiful, realistic stamp that would be great to watercolor.

I know this is a shot in the dark, but does anyone know of a manufacturer with stamps like this?

Hi Vicki,

Yes, I agree with you that Long Time Friend is one of those sets that will never go out of style and lucky for me I do have it. If you would like I can RAK you some images, just send me a PM with your home address and what you would like (white paper, embossed, etc....) SU seems to have moved away from that style of stamp which is a pity...

There is a canadian stamp company called "the Artful Stamper" that has great designs that are similar -they have a similar tall can as a separate stamp, no flowers (I can send you some of those too if you would like)
http://www.artfulstamper.com/ Most artful stamper stamps are designed to be watercoloured (check the link below for samples and classes) and if you ever get a chance to go to their store the 1000's of samples are breathtaking!

I don't know if any of your local stamp stores carries that line but if you see something you like I can run down to London to their retail store and pick them up for you as long as you can be patient (they aren't open evenings which is a PITA) http://www.stampshackcanada.com/

..otherwise put out an ISO on the buy sell forum here on SCS and keep an eye out on e-bay - the set will eventually appear and hopefully at a price that you can afford!

Let me know if you would like some images...

Joann

You are so kind! Thank you so much!! I will put out a ISO - I missed the set once on ebay because the bidding went too high. I agree that SU seems to have moved away from this style - and it bums me out! Enough squiggles & circles - let's have some variety!
I'll check out the artfulstamper also ..
thanks for your offer of stamped images. If all else fails, I'll get in touch.

I was thinking of lockhart stamps....but they may be a more cutesy style. I know Ellen Hutson sells them in her store. Here's a link....

Might not be what you're looking for, but it was my first thought.

You could try the BST forum. I've found some great sets there that I missed out on the first time around.
